Jane’s Maternity Wear: Me and my bump at the Home Depot.

Yes, those are my non-maternity ripped skinny jeans. My legs still fit and since they’re low-rise, they rise right below my bump. Awesome possum. Oh, and you’ll be seeing this jacket on me alot. It’s the only winter coat that I have that fits my exploding upper body. Yes, it’s a Gap Maternity Jacket that [...]

New beds for the girls. Finally!

Dick brings in the platforms and we see just how well we measured them. Dick plops in the platform and it fits PERFECTLY. Thelma immediately sets up her bed.

Home Depot to get the platforms for our beds.

First thing in the morning after Thelma opened her eyes was, can we go to Home Depot now? So, we skip breakfast and head out the door, despite snowy weather. The girls are determined to get their beds. Dick and I decided, who needs SLATS anyway. Why not just a flat platform, which provides better support anyway! [...]

Finally ready to assemble the Twin Beds.

After nearly waiting two weeks in high anticipation of having their own NEW beds, we are finally ready to start the assembly process. We start with one bed and take out all the pieces. I’m in charge of reading the instructions and telling everyone what to do. As Dick points out, “You ARE the Eng-gin-eer!”

My Cinderella Girls working hard to clean their room.

After we get the old bed out, there’s still plenty of cleaning to do prior to moving in and setting up the new beds. The girls reminded me of this phrase that I’ve must have repeated before, “It always gets worse before it gets better Mommy!” Yep, true dat, girls. But I’ve trained these girls [...]

Late Night Snack.

What? It’s late. And I’m hungry. Whole wheat turkey w/mayo & tomato. Lays plain chips. Claussen pickles. Mmmm, that was good. I think that took me about 5 minutes to eat. Remember, I’m pregnant! Yes, I plan on using that line to the fullest extent! Of course, Dick will tell you this is not a [...]

Smells like poo. Sh**! Literally!

On our way home from picking up the Futon Mattresses, we’re in the car and I smell something weird. “I smell something.” Dick brushes it off as my sensitivity to smells from being pregnant. “I don’t smell anything. You’re nose is just sensitive right now.” We drive a little further. “Seriously, I smell something. Smells [...]

Early Maternity Wear: Sporty Maternity and layering clothes at 4 months.

Being around 4 months pregnant, I kinda still fit in some of my clothes. Kinda. Being in that in-between stage where one does not yet look fully pregnant and is thicker in the middle than usual makes it difficult to find clothes to wear. I want to be able to use whatever clothes I have [...]

Not a fan of spring mattresses, how about a futon mattress?

The bed frames that we got for the girls are like platform beds where a box is not needed. Dick has a thing for futon mattresses and so wanted to get that particular kind for the girls since he believes they give you better support for your back. He hates spring mattresses. The girls were [...]
