The auction is very skimpy on cars today, which is odd because the lot is usually full. Consequently we don’t have many cars to look at. We take a beautiful Z4 for a spin because I really miss my roadster but it’s dangerous for me to have such a car. I like to bring out the fullest potential in things and well, fast cars like to be driven FAST.

there aren’t many cars, we test drive the few cars that are good options for us and then we spot this 1976 Lincoln Continental Mark IV. It’s so pimp and we decide to take it for a spin just for fun.

This car is definitely a boat and it drives like one! There’s so much play in the MASSIVE steering wheel. Fees weird too because it’s so thin.
Dick is loving the old school feel of this car.
This must have been a HOT ride back in the day. I mean, look…they had power windows in 1976??? Oh, and check out the toggle switch for the side mirror. It’s not powered. I totally forgot about those!
If you look closely, you can see that “Cartier” made the dial clock for the Continental back then. How “luxurious”! Actually, after doing some research, this was the “Cartier Edition” as the Mark IV was known for using famous Fashion Designer’s names for their series.
The best part though was when we discovered that the original 8-track player was still there! Eight tracks were not during my time so I’m super impressed. I do believe this is the first time I’ve ever seen a real 8-track.
The player works and we find other 8-tracks in the car!
We put in this “Greatest Country Hits” and now we’re jammin’!
The last cool thing we see on the car are the front lights. Nothing special when they’re on but…
Check it out when they’re off..
They have automatic doors that slide down to cover the lights! Neat-O! (I know, spoken like a true car connoisseur.)
What do you think? You think Jane would look pimp driving this boat around?
