Fun with Jane and Dick

As I said, I have a ton of family visiting me. My cousin, M.I.A., is visiting from Australia.

The last time I saw her was 20 years ago when I was 15 and she was 5.

Here we are at Niagara Falls. It’s 1989 and yes, I had permed hair back then and stone washed jeans were all the rage.

M.I.A. is now a DOCTOR (My mom is super proud of this.) and is taking 4 months off to travel before she has to go back to work. Lucky girl.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my close knit family because  although I haven’t seen her in 20 years and have not even been in touch with her since then, it’s like we’ve still known each other our whole lives.

MIA started off in Vancouver for the Olympics then headed over to Toronto to visit Queen Latifa and the rest of my family in Toronto.

Queen Latifa then drove her from Toronto to New York and Washington DC along with my other cousin, Eminem (who is 18 and is on Spring Break).

When I heard Queen Latifa was going to take them around, I knew this was going to be a LIGHTNING SPEED tour. Queenie can’t sit for long and rushes through everything.

And although it was a fast tour, it is ALWAYS an interesting experience when traveling with the Queen. Being the typical Asian, Queenie always looks for the Chinatown in every major city she visits.

After their breeze through NY and DC, they headed to Metropolis to visit us. This is why Lucy Lu flew out here from LA to join in all the fun too.

As soon as everyone gets here, we’re all chatting and catching up.

STARBUCKS

So, where do I take my dear cousin as soon as she gets here? Well STARBUCKS of course.

Since we don’t have enough bikes for everyone, we walk out there.

I was expecting my cousin to be this nerdy brainiac because she’s a doctor but she’s actually a SUPER COOL chic that is funny and damn intelligent.

It’s funny how Thelma and Louise can sense close family. They take to MIA immediately.
