Since the girls fell asleep while I was finishing up our Sponge Bob pumpkin, they were surprised to see that Mommy didn’t screw up the carving job. I’m glad my “customers” were happy with their order.
From morning, Louise was already begging to go trick-or-treating. For some odd reason she couldn’t understand why we couldn’t go until later.
“Can we go trick-or-treating now???” (In her whiniest of whiney voices.)
Do what were my girl’s final choices for costume? My girls decided to be “dark” this year. I think my love for Goth is influencing their fashion selections. Love it!!

This year, the girls were super excited because their friends who had moved away came back in town to visit. They were Indian princesses. Are they not just adorable? I love their Sari’s!! I want one for myself!!
TIME TO TRICK OR TREAT
Now it’s off to go trick-or-treat! Today was a miserable day to trick-or-treat. It was rainy, wet, muddy, and cold. Normally, I would walk around with them but given the weather conditions, I followed them around in the car. We decide to go early because their friends need to leave soon and because I don’t want to trick-or-treat in the dark with the cold rain.
GOTH SUSHI TIME
Now that we’re done with all that cold and wetness and the girls have enough candy for the next few months, we’re craving sushi. So, Dick and I decide to get all GOTHED up so we can go out for dinner. Plus, this will save us some time getting ready to go out after we’re done with the kids. Yes, ADULT Halloween time.
GOTH DICK
Dick has some goth gear left over from my Goth birthday party so it’s a easy costume since he’s not exactly costume adventurous.
I’m always looking for an excuse to bring out my inner goth.
GOTH JANE
I’m SO excited to be eating sushi.
We order a SASHIMI Delux. I love sashimi. Sashimi is slices of raw fish without the rice already rolled up under it. My girls like the slices of tune and salmon.
We also order rolls because the girls love it. Here we have cucumber roll, California roll, and a spider roll. A spider roll has the tempura soft shell crab in it and Dick always orders it. Plus, there’s an extra order of ginger because I can’t get enough of it.
And what is sushi without Sake? A small bottle of hot sake for us. Sake is a japanese rice wine that can be served hot or cold. Excellent with sushi!
To end our delicious dinner, we share a bowl of green tea ice cream. This is one of my favorite flavors for ice cream. Yum!!
It was a super evening with our girls and they had a blast!
