My lovely Thelma thought she would help her Mommy out and clean the bathroom. No, I did not force her…She totally did this out of her own will and the goodness of her sweet little heart. Actually, I wasn’t supposed to see any of this. Thelma wanted to surprise me.
Thelma is wearing a vintage dress from my childhood that my Mom, Fanny Mae, kept. I absolutely love this dress and the way it looks on Thelma.

Being your typical Vietnamese woman, Fanny Mae keeps everything! I get on her case often for all the stuff taking up space in her house. But, in this case, I’m SO GLAD she kept some of my clothes from when I was a kid. The heavy box magazines from the 80s can go! (Mom, I know you think you’ll have time to read through all of them when you retire but you also have a list of a million things you want to do.)
Louise is chattering in her ear and Thelma just wants to focus on my surprise.
“Lou-ise-z! Get out of here! You’re not supposed to be here. This is MY surprise for Mommy!”
Poor thing was scrubbing so hard to polish the sink faucet so that it’s SUPER SHINEY.
But, the handles kept fogging up. I look and it’s because of the condensation from the extremely cold water coming through because it’s FREEZING COLD outside.
She’s relieved and sits down to take a break.
Oh wait, one more thing left, the towel.
Um, wait a minute. Is that the same towel you just used to polish the faucet???
Whatever.
Merci beaucoup ma cherie! You are so lovely! I adore you!
-Jane, Lucky Mom.
