Dick and I finally took the girls to go see New Moon. All weekend they were asking when we would go. I have to admit, I was very slow to get on the Twilight bandwagon. When Twilight first came out, I thought it was some scary vampire movie. I don’t watch horror movies so I wasn’t interested at all in watching Twilight. Then I started to see more and more mention of this Robert Pattison on my favorite celebrity news source, Perez Hilton. I thought, why are all these people going ga-ga over this ugly, pale, skinny British dude. Ok, he has great hair but he looks kinda unkempt. Then, Lucy and her boyfriend Ricardo rented it one night and I found myself, surprisingly, liking it. That’s when I decided to read the books.
So far, I’m in the middle of reading Eclipse and have been trying to finish it for about 6 months now. I have NO time to read these days. Anyway, I have always been one of those that hate watching movies after having read them. Ultimately, the movie will NEVER compare to the book and because I already know what to expect, the actors’ acting always looks REALLY REALLY crappy.
That must be why I liked Twilight the Movie so much. I didn’t read the book until after I saw it. Unfortunately, I have already read New Moon. Because the book is still fresh in my mind that, it has spoiled the movie for me and all the acting looked very mediocre. New Moon is known as the most boring of all the Twilight books so I guess the movie will parallel that. My review of movie was that it was just OK, which is unfortunate but I had high expectations.

After a haircut and bulking up, I can see why there are alot of TEAM JACOB fans out there. Taylor Lautner is HOT!
If you have kids, you may remember that Taylor Lautner was the boy in Shark Boy and Lava Girl. I know this because it’s one of Thelma and Louise’s favorites movies.
But, I still have to say I’m TEAM EDWARD, but not based on looks. His character in the book is just dreamy. Robert Pattison does nothing for me.
I’m sure no one is surprised that New Moon was the #1 movie over the weekend. Since opening date, New Moon has grossed over $230.7 million dollars…and that’s just in the U.S.!

I thought it served it’s purpose well, seeing Robbie on the big screen again and also Taylor’s hot new body….it was entertaining so I thoroughly enjoyed the 2-3 hours watching it on the big screen.
