The other day I was swamped with work to do because I had procrastinated for far too long on things that must be done. Procrastination was now biting me in the ass because I was missing out on one of the most beautiful days of Fall being that it was warm, sunny and mid-60s. While I’m working in my office, I’m looking outside my window, seeing this gorgeous day pass right by me. Sniff sniff.
I check the weather online and it’s only going to be that day and the next. The next day though I had to report to my regular obligation as lunch-lady, preparing and serving up lunch at the girls’ homeschool-co-op. It may sound bad but it’s actually kinda fun.
It’s almost 3pm and I still have about 2 hours left of sunlight so I decide to take advantage while I can. But, I can no longer procrastinate yet again with my work. What do I do? I do what every other woman knows how to do from childhood and what most men don’t learn, even in adulthood….
MULTITASKING!
So, instead of making myself miserable inside when these not-too-hot, not-too-cold days are few and far between, I put my work in the saddle bags of my rear rack, hop on my bike and head out to my favorite hangout…STARBUCKS!
Although cold weather is not for me (It’s a wonder I how I ever lived in Detroit and Toronto during the winter months.), I am completely lovin’ the fall trees and colors.
Everywhere I go, I’m like “Girls, look! Look at the awesome oranges and reds and yellows! Look at this tree! Oh and that one!”
