We just had some tenants move out and so, it’s time for the cleaning crew to come in. By cleaning crew, I mean myself, Dick, and the girls. By doing it ourselves, we save big and the girls love a change of scenery. So, we pack our bags for a few days but since there’s nothing in the townhouse, we also pack blankets, pillows, food and stuff to cook with (this helps cut down on expenses and time since we can just stay put and work). Yes, I’m a slave driver! No, I’m just efficient. Off we go in the car for a 4 hour drive. Here’s some pics along the way:
I am pulling weeds with my BARE hands because I don’t want to have to do it again later.
My pile of accumulated shit. By this time I am extremely sweaty, stinky and my arms are about to fall off.
However, the end result is well worth it. Ta-da! I trim back the plants and put some more mulch. Just lovely.
Soon after I’m done a summer thunderstorm rolls in just in time to cool me off!

With no furniture or toys, their imagination runs rampant and they have a BLAST.
It goes to show you don’t need much to be happy.
We take the family to a local small indoor water park.
It’s only $8 per person all day long!
