I use dresses as shirts and big shirts as dresses often. This time, it’s actually a dress…a black one I bought in the Grungy Fashion District of Queen Street in Toronto.
It’s funny because I bought it almost three years ago thinking I LOVED it but I didn’t wear it until two years later…when I discovered how I could wear it differently…Thank goodness I because I almost gave the dress away!
GRUNGY DRESS
So, I actually didn’t like wearing it as a dress at all. I felt kinda hoochie in it. I couldn’t find the right shoes to go with it…that is, until I just tried it on with my Goodwill Boots.
I got these boots for $3!!
So, I really like this grungy look. This will be great for spring.
RELAXED LOOK
Throw on some jeans (and keeping the same boots) and you’ve got a great relaxed look.
DRESS IT UP
I folded up the dress to make it a shorter shirt and threw on a blazer on top.
I think this is my favorite look but really, it all depends on my mood.
So, that’s it. One dress, three looks.
Now go thru and look at the old dresses that you have collecting dust in your closet.
I bet you can wear them several different ways and you could RE-VAMP and RE-LOVE something you already have!
And, don’t forget to try a belt!
