Fun with Jane & Dick

It’s been a month that we’ve been in LA. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed myself. It’s the first time EVER that I’ve never spent Christmas with my parents but it’s also the first time EVER that I’ve spent Christmas in such warm, lovely weather. Los Angeles is crazy but I really will miss their weather.

I had an awesome time being able to hang out with my sister and spending time with J Lo, Mark, Will Carlton and Mamma F. Sometimes it was frustrating but that’s to be expected when you’re with family. However, there was plenty of laughter, good times and memories to make up for it. Families are always crazy, especially mine. I still love ya’ll.

So here we are at the airport. It’s 7am and trust me, we have more luggage than this.

Dick’s just returning the cart while giving the girls a ride. We just checked 4 bags and we have 4 carry-ons. I know, that’s alot but  I’ve been traveling for a month and over the holidays!

SOUTHWEST IS PRETTY AWESOME

We’re traveling by Southwest Airlines. We take a direct route and then have to drive another 2.5 hours to get home but it’s so worth it to have a direct flight. Plus, they seem to be mostly on time, even often arriving early. And, they don’t assign seats…it’s first come first serve. HOWEVER, they do allow families to board first so that you are ensured seats together. Loves it!

We’re starving and the guy tells us boarding starts 20 minutes prior to the flight. That gives us 20 minutes to go grab something to eat because we’re starving. We eat and get back on time but the dude started early! So, we’re stuck in the back of the plane but luckily, I’m able to sit with Thelma while Dick and Louise sit together in the VERY LAST ROW.

Check out my cute little Thelma. She’s reading the in-flight magazine and finds a million things that we HAVE to have. You know you always need a blender that doubles as an iron. I’m joking, they don’t have that but if they did, you know you’d HAVE to have it.

Look how lady-like she sits, with her toes all spread. I wonder if the teenager next to her, who is going to be a freshman at Annapolis, is OFFENDED. LOL

The flight is pretty full.

So now that we’ve taken off…guess what I’m doing??? I’ve taken off my boots…

And have fallen fast asleep. I totally miss the air hostess (Is that the PC way to say it?)  bringing the snacks and drinks but I don’t care this time because I’m EXHAUSTED…only 4 hours sleep last night.

I pretty much sleep the entire way, except for the occasional jabbing from Thelma. She’s not sleepy and wants to talk to me. But, I’m spewing incoherent sleepy drunkenness. Four hours later and we’ve landed…

Only what I see and FEEL makes me want to jump right back on the plane and head back to LA…
