My 1.5 acre property has a massive amount of trees.
I love it because I feel so much closer to nature yet I don’t have to live in the boonies away from civilization.
However, the amount of leaves that fall on the ground means more work for me.
When we first moved into the house, I was completely overwhelmed with the amount of leaves that I had to rake up. There was like a foot layer of leaves in my back yard that took me like 3 days and hours of raking. I got over that pretty quick and decided I needed a leaf blower. Not just a handheld one, I needed a backpack leaf blower, like the ones the pros use to do landscaping.
So instead of taking me days, it takes a couple of hours to do my entire yard.
Having a backpack blower makes it so much easier, it’s more powerful, and much more comfortable!
Safety is a must so I put on my shades. Yes, those are my safety glasses!
(See why I can’t use designer shades? I beat them to hell.)

I start out with the deck.
Deck looks awesome when it’s clean. I love sitting out here and enjoying the view from my deck.
Now it’s time to do the real work.
I work my way to the back.
Maneuvering the blower takes some skill to get the leaves to go where you want them to.
Towards the end, I’m taken by surprise as my neighbor comes up behind me with his blower.
I’ve been lending my blower to him but since he just got a new one, he’s unnecessarily helping me out and paying me back.
Except, I notice his is super powerful and I realize that he has the newer version of my Husquevarna 125BT. (His is the 150BT).
I have BLOWER ENVY now. Just wait until this one breaks!
With my neighbor helping me, we get it done in no time! Lovely!
Dick is SO lucky to have me.
Now I can sit and enjoy my deck. What else would one do but have a smoke after a good blowing. AHAHA. I can hear the jokes now.
Look! Granny ash!
