The forgotten hallway closets.

Day two and I start by attacking the forgotten hallway closets. We hardly ever open these closet doors, we just throw shit inside and shut the door so we can’t see it. Well, not exactly intentionally like that but it ended up definitely looking like it. Stuff just started accumulating and with no time (And, since I didn’t MAKE TIME) to clean them, they end up looking like the closets I warned you about at my mom’s house. You won’t have an avalanche of stuff fall on you at my house but if I didn’t take care of it, it might get there!

THE COAT/SHOE CLOSET

The coat closet in the entryway of our house holds jackets and shoes that we never wear,  ice skates, and it seems the girls have also stuffed their unwanted bags in here.

At the top are shoes we’ve already sorted as Don’t Fit/Don’t Want.

(These went in the shoe box with all the others.)

After I got rid of all the unwanted shoes and straightened up a bit, the coat closet is looking MUCH better.

Little by little we are making headway.

THE LUGGAGE/OLD MEDICINE CLOSET

Tis another closet left unloved.

You can see it’s been forgotten for a while.

It’s ridiculously embarrassing.

Inside are a lot of miscellaneous clothes of mine and the girls, empty bags and luggage, and…

Birth control ( A little late now, but makes no difference anyway because I hate the pill.) and some other medicine called Prevacid. They’ve been in here for years. Goin’ in the trash!

A random remote to who-the-heck-knows-what.

A box full of medicines that we haven’t touched in about 10 years.

Another box of medications and prescriptions…all going in the trash.

Oh so HERE is where we’ve lost all our goggles, which we had to buy again because we couldn’t find!!

Alright, hallway closet empty!

Which results in a bit of a mess surrounding the area but remember, it usually gets worse before it gets better!

Inside is a dust-filled floor.

I sweep and wipe it down with a wet rag and then take a much needed chocolate ice cream break. Yummmm. This preggar is tired and working way too hard. I deserve this!!

Time to start putting some stuff back.

Wow! Look at how much space!!

I think I’m gonna need it for storing baby stuff.

Despite it being a long, arduous “journey”…I’m really liking having my house thoroughly cleaned out like this.
