While I was with Louise at the photo shoot. I get a frantic call from Thelma. She’s crying like crazy and I can hardly understand her. I’m dying inside because I’m two hours away and there’s nothing I can do.
My mom had taken Thelma to work with her while I was with Louise. She was getting some hot cocoa for her when they both turned around at the same time, thereby knocking the hot cocoa and it spilled all over Thelma’s chest.

I felt so bad for my baby. It looked just AWEFUL.

After having the stomach bug, going to the ER, and now this horrible burn, poor Thelma has had a rough start to her summer.
She hasn’t even gotten a chance to swim or practice with the team.

Just breaks my heart for her.

She’s so dissappointed and is dying to get in the water.

Despite dissappointments, Thelma is being super strong and hardly complains. Such a sweet thing.
Slowly but surely it’s healing and she’s doing her best not to pick it so it doesn’t scar, however, you know how scabs are when they start to heal. It’s itching her like crazy.
-Jane, Mother of Non-Complaining Thelma.
