Everyone, I mean everyone, has been impacted by the economy. My tenants are no different. We just had another tenant move out and so, it’s time for the cleaning crew to come in. By cleaning crew, I mean…ME.
We hit the road late so we don’t get into Gotham City until around midnight. The girls slept in the car so they are wide awake and HUNGRY.
Luckily, there is a pizza joint uptown that’s open until at least 1AM daily. And, after 10pm and your second pizza or appetizer is 50% off. Sweet!
The pies here are also baked in a brick oven so it’s pretty healthy. The crusts are thin, no oil, and you can also get an all whole wheat crust…which is what we get for both our pizzas. You can’t even tell the difference!

We order a salad.
The kids are coloring.
They draw some of their own pictures on the back of the paper.
How cute are these??? I just love it.
We get our pizzas. A Hawaiian, hold the prosciutto. If you don’t know what prosciutto is…it’s salty, cured ham. It’s like a pork jerky but not as tough. We just want extra pineapples.
The other is a pizza for the adults. It’s a wild mushroom-arugula pizza. OMG, yum!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE arugula!
The kids are also given dough to play with and they love it.
The kid in me wants to play too. Like my bubble lips?
Louise mimics Mommy. Hers is more like a ballon-lip.
Yes, we had a good ole time playing with our food.
Now to go to bed ’cause there is WORK to be DONE!!
We have a condo uptown that we usually stay when we are in Gotham City but in order to be time efficient, I always like to stay in the house where we need to do the clean-up whenever we have a tenant move out. That way, I can stay up all night if I want to clean, paint, work, whatever. I know exactly what’s going on with the house and it’s actually alot of fun for our family. The kids love to explore.
I hope that I will always be able to do this for my properties and not just hire a cleaning crew to come in.
So, here’s our sleeping accommodations while we are in Gotham City this time.
Minimalistic and super cozy. Yeah, it brings you down to earth but you need that every once in a while. Love it!
