Today, at Starbucks, I didn’t distract myself with a book or crossword puzzle or cigarette like I usually do.
I just sat there and enjoyed the view, happy to be out of the confines of my house, breathing the fresh air and away from the memories of illness that has plagued us lately.
I should have been catching up on yard work since I’ve been out of commission these days. But, like a high school student playing hooky, ducking away from responsibility, I got on my bike and headed for some me-time at Starbucks and a caramel macchiato (extra shot please!).
Thelma was right, today does feel like the first day of Fall. The breeze is cool, not cold and you can hear the leaves rustling all around you. I’m sitting in the sun, soaking it all in.
Starbucks is like therapy. Only, it’s way cheaper. You go there to relax, rejuvenate, reenergize.
Starbucks and I need to work on some ad campaigns together. Only, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a ad for Starbucks???
I like to use the “for here” mugs. Coffee just tastes much better in a mug and it’s better for the environment!

You just made me want to play hookey from work, but I am already here. Today is gorgeous. Need outdoor patio at a Starbucks and a good book.

I love Starbucks too. My current fave is their Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino.

BTW, so glad that you are able to go out and about again. Your poor traveling fight must have been aching to roam free.
