I have been wanting to see Avatar long before it came out but haven’t been able to go see it until now. Of course, by now, it’s raked in a record $2.5 Billion worldwide and James Cameron will continue to rake in bazillions of dollars until long after he’s gone. I really didn’t know what [...]

Tenant moves out so it’s off to Gotham City to “camp out” again.
By Jane on June 15, 2010
Although Dick goes to Gotham City all the time, I mostly go when a tenant moves out and the cleaning crew (ME) comes in. So, after showing the car and picking up Louise from swim practice, I pack and load up the car. Yes, it’s time to camp out again. Here’s all our gear. Blankets, [...]

June and I see the most amazing rainbow the other day while hanging out. We felt like we were “Somewhere over the rainbow” by the end of the day too. -Jane, Rainbow Lover.

My favorite toothbrush. Economical and Ecological.
By Jane on September 9, 2010
It is reported that 50 million pounds of toothbrushes are dumped into landfills yearly. That’s alot of freakin’ toothbrushes. I’ve always wanted to recycle and have been just too lazy to. No more excuses and this family finally on the recycle bandwagon. In addition to recycling, I figure why not use ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY toothbrushes? Made by [...]

I just discovered that I am also a poet. I found this poem I wrote in my newly found GREEN INDEX CARD HOLDER. Written probably about some boy I had a crush on. I must have thought the poem was pretty good otherwise I wouldn’t have taped it to this lovely green piece of construction [...]

Thankful that we are unscathed by record hail, rain, thunderstorms, and tornados.
By Jane on April 28, 2011
The South was hit SUPER HARD by a tremendous amount of thunderstorms, tornados and crazy hail. Some of my friends were reporting baseball and golfball-sized hail, dinged-up cars, damage to their houses, and leaking roofs. Dick was out of town so we went to my parents’ house. As soon as we heard the pounding of [...]

Road tripping with my THREE kids: Benz’s first trip to Gotham City.
By Jane on August 22, 2011
We had one of our rentals empty out so it was time for me to head to Gotham City again and take care of business. Remember, by cleaning crew…I’m referring to myself. The last time we were in Gotham City was during my pregnancy and I had seen our Art Lounge for the first time [...]

One night, our family gets hungry and since we had nothing at home and I was too tired to cook, we decide to grab some dinner uptown. The girls want to go to Jason’s Deli, which is a new franchise that we love to go to and they offer all natural/organic ingredients in their food. [...]

I just can’t seem to get away from Dog Sh**!
By Jane on January 18, 2011
While my parents are gone for three weeks, we’re taking care of the dogs for them and it’s driving me NUTS! I grew up having dogs but now, I’m no longer a fan of being an OWNER. I’ve turned into one of those people who like “other people’s dogs” like how some people like “other [...]
Taking the Benz for a ride, I mean, stroll.
By Jane on June 23, 2011
No, I’m not talking about our car, I’m talking about our son. We decided to go for a walk, while strolling our new Benz around. I had forgotten how much one must pack when you have a baby, even if it’s just for a simple walk around the neighborhood. That there black bag on the [...]

EDAMAME: A super EASY, YUMMY and HEALTHY SNACK.
By Jane on September 3, 2010
Edamame is one of the oldest recorded snacks around, dating back to over 2000 years ago. Popular in Japan and picked before they are ripe, it is a fantastically EASY, YUMMY and HEALTHY snack. You can even find bags of whole pod edamame in the frozen vegetable section at WAL-MART so no excuses if you [...]

Gasoline, for the baby’s butt??
By Jane on July 7, 2011
Before you get your panties all in a wad…no, I did not put gasoline on my babies butt. Read on to see what I’m talking about. The girls are ectsatic that their best friends from Gotham City, Jessica and Ashlee Simpson, were in town visiting us again. Little bit, Ashlee, is at that [...]

Ice Skating in LA during winter in shorts and tee shirts???
By Jane on January 13, 2010
When we were in LA, Thelma was begging me to go ice skating like EVERY DAY. She missed it SO much. Around the corner from J Lo’s place was one of those small, temporary outdoor rinks they set up over the “winter” in her area. I don’t like these because usually the ice is really [...]

Every year I think, THIS is going to be the year I’m going to decorate for Halloween. I love Halloween but inevitably, each year, we’d be lucky if we have a pumpkin in the front yard. Consistently, this has been the plan for the last 5 years and consistently every year, no Halloween decorations. However, [...]

Crispy Flounder with Persian Rice & Butternut Squash.
By Jane on February 21, 2011
So here’s the finale of the dinner I made the other day. I didn’t do a full post on the flounder but it’s quite easy. Just take your flounder and coat the outside with flour, turmeric, salt & pepper. Cook it in oil until cripsy on med-high. They come out beautifully golden, crispy on the [...]

Sorry for the sparse blogs. I’m not quite sure but I think having a third child is taking up all my time. Blogging seems to have taken a back seat to enjoying time with my new son, kids, husband and and taking care of our daily meals, clean-up, homeschooling, businesses, and Starbucks. With everything going [...]

PAINTING FRENZIE: The front porch gets an uplift too.
By Jane on May 11, 2010
It’s spring and since it’s still somewhat nice outside and not too hot, I like to do some work around the house. Not only did the back porch need some lovin’, the front porch does too! See where I went pressure-washer crazy?

Another day, another park. Scavenger hunts, tag, and fun, fun, fun.
By Jane on October 14, 2009
Since we happened to be in downtown Metropolis, Dick and I decide to take Thelma and Louise to one of their favorite parks. It’s an amazing, great park built by community volunteers and the kids love it because it’s like a big maze for them.

And the stitches come out…not as traumatizing this time.

Five days after Thelma’s skating incident and we’re headed back in the ER to have her stitches removed. Look how happy she is. I hope it stays this way….

I came across this old student desk from the 50s and I just loved it. The seat and desk height can be adjusted and the desk top lifts for storage of your school stuff. The gentleman I bought it from was so nice, he delivered it to my house. I was hoping he had two [...]
