DICK is driving me around METROPOLIS for a photo project I’m doing with www.buyusafirst.org. John Gibson, CEO of United Intelligence Corporation, is an entrepreneur who has several business of his own and also works as a consultant for women entrepreneurs. John is also my husband’s, mother’s, cousin’s husband. I meet John for the first time in California a month ago and immediately I like him. He’s Super-intelligent, seems to take everything in stride and is always smiling. Doesn’t he look kinda like Bill Gates?

Late run to Walmart for Arts and Crafts
By Jane on November 23, 2009
I like to buy things at the dollar store to use for arts and crafts projects at home. It’s a great inexpensive way to let your kids tune into their artistic side without spending tons of money because arts and crafts supplies can get pretty pricey. At the dollar store you usually find wooden frames, boxes, birdhouses, [...]

Short hair. Long hair. Which do you prefer?
By Jane on November 15, 2010
My girls go back and forth between short and long hair. Usually, it’s summer when they want their hair short. But now, summer is over and the girls are wanting their hair to grow out. Slowly but surely, it’s getting there. Of course, by the time their hair becomes long again, it’ll be summer again. [...]

A grandpa that changes diapers?!?! Freddie Mac, hands-on Grandpa!
By Jane on January 4, 2012
My dad ADORES his grandchildren and he LOVES babies. It’s because babies like to do the same thing as my dad…sleep, chill in bed, eat. My mom thinks it’s really funny because she complains that when Lucy and I were babies, he wasn’t as nearly hands-on as he is now. Of course, I think that [...]

Road tripping with my THREE kids: Benz’s first trip to Gotham City.
By Jane on August 22, 2011
We had one of our rentals empty out so it was time for me to head to Gotham City again and take care of business. Remember, by cleaning crew…I’m referring to myself. The last time we were in Gotham City was during my pregnancy and I had seen our Art Lounge for the first time [...]

Not your every day Jeep. Gun included.
By Jane on September 6, 2010
While coming out of the grocery store, I see this in the parking lot. I wonder if they get tickets for not wearing a seat belt. And what’s this? Are you sure that little tie thing is going to be sufficient? Why not just put a sign on it that says TAKE ME. -Jane. Just [...]

A gorgeous, antique Mercedes 280 SL.
By Jane on May 6, 2010
We were on the interstate when we spotted this BEAUTIFUL Antique Mercedes 280 SL convertible. It’s GORGEOUS and looks WELL taken care of. I love the antique blue with the cream interior. This would be a car I wouldn’t mind having. Dick LOVES it. Wants one. Good thing we have the same taste. Mine is, [...]

Jane and Lucy Represent…East Coast, West Coast.
By Jane on December 29, 2009
It’s morning and Lucy and I decide to go have coffee. We walk to Starbucks and I notice that the Starbucks completely in the shade and because outside is the entire reason I like to go have coffee, we decide to go across the street to the Coffee Bean where it is nice and sunny and try [...]

The thing about the holidays is that there’s a bazillion more people out than usual and when in line, you’re surrounded by people. Everywhere you go there is a line that you need to wait in. I’m in line and this guy behind me is freaking breathing down my neck and standing WAY TOO CLOSE [...]

Oink Oink. We have been plagued with the Swine Flu. :(
By Jane on September 25, 2009
You never think it’s going to happen to you, until well, IT DOES. Also known as H1N1, flu from pigs is what it is. Sounds disgusting huh? Now it’s spreading from human to human. Google Health says the following about Swine Flu: Swine influenza is flu virus usually found in pigs. The virus [...]

Man, do I love watermelon. Oh, and being lazy to spit out seeds, I prefer seedless. I’m so excited that watermelon season has started! I pretty much live off watermelon in the summer. That and corn on the cob! Looks like I tried to stash one under my dress no? (Which you may recognize. [...]

Not a fan of spring mattresses, how about a futon mattress?
By Jane on December 29, 2010
The bed frames that we got for the girls are like platform beds where a box is not needed. Dick has a thing for futon mattresses and so wanted to get that particular kind for the girls since he believes they give you better support for your back. He hates spring mattresses. The girls were [...]

Happy Halloween!! You want Sponge Bob on our Pumpkin???
By Jane on October 31, 2009
Remember when we went to the Mayfield Corn Maze? Well, I picked up a good size pumpkin there and it’s been sitting there until well…now. Thelma, Louise and I finally decided that we would carve the pumpkin. A bit last minute but better than never.
By Jane on November 14, 2009
Life is extremely busy for us these days. I’m not sure if it’s good or bad but…it is what it is and we’re rolling with the punches. There’s never a dull moment, at least not for me. The girls may disagree but, whatever, kids are always complaining about being bored. Well, today was definitely not [...]

“Mommy, why do we have to shop on eBay?”
By Jane on November 16, 2009
The other day, on our way somewhere (I can’t remember where. The pregnancy amnesia never seemed to go away.), Louise was hassling me for some ice skates now that she is taking lessons. Before, she hardly ever wanted to go ice skating but now that I’ve been taking the time to help her, she’s gained a [...]

How to PROPERLY cut a watermelon.
By Jane on May 21, 2010
It’s watermelon season (well not really but the grocery stores already have the ones imported from Mexico where they have forced grown it so that it would produce fruit for us watermelon lovers who can’t wait until summer)! I loves me some WATERMELON! So sweet and refreshing. Of course I get the SEEDLESS kind. My [...]

So, I’m always bragging to Dick how I don’t have any gray hair and I make fun of Dick for having quite a few. Anyway, it doesn’t even matter for men because it makes them look “distinguished”. Hmmppphhh. But, Dick’s response is, “You see what you three girls do to me?”. And, he doesn’t buy [...]

The Chalk Guy: Julian Beever and his AMAZING pavement drawings.
By Jane on November 12, 2009
I just got a forward from Dick’s cousin. He’s a dentist who has a lot of time to send a bunch of email forwards to us. LOL (J.K. We love you!) I never read any long forwards. I am A.D.D. and like I said, wordy stuff with no pictures will NOT capture my attention. Short, [...]
