We’re all starving because it’s already dinner time and we’re just getting started. I declare Lucy a sous-chef and put her to work because I’m editing some Christmas pictures of her, her roommate, and their dogs.

This dish requires chopping up 4 bunches of fresh spinach. Lucy has to chop it into very tiny pieces. As you can imagine, this requires quite a bit of knife-wrist action. This is typical of Persian food…it requires a lot of chopping of vegetables. VERY laborious and mundane.

NOTE: Lucy does not always dress up as a Matrix Warrior while cooking dinner.

The complaining starts:

“My hands hurt.”

“This is  a lot of spinach.”

“You don’t seem to be doing much cooking while I’m doing all the work.”

Yes, that’s a sous-chef”s job!

But she’s starving and if she wants to eat any time soon, she must do it and not complain.  I pour her a glass of wine in hopes it will help.

But four bunches of spinach is quite a lot and Lucy was none too happy when after all her hard work was complete, she looked at her hands.

All that hard work and green hands to boot. Luckily, the food was DA BOMB otherwise I won’t have a sous-chef for future meals.

Normally, I would have a picture of the dinner for you but due to extreme hunger and forgetfulness, we failed to get one. Apologies. Us girls chowed down.
