Gifts for the girls from their private art teacher.
By Jane on December 10, 2009
My girls take Private Art Classes weekly from an extremely talented artist. Magda is a dear friend and we are so lucky to have her in our lives. She has taught the girls so much about art, all the technical stuff that I have forgotten.

Big boobs aren’t all that. I’m loving my new mosquito bites.
By Jane on October 2, 2009
There are some benefits to having had that dreadful SWINE FLU. It’s the all-new Swine Flu Diet! Great results! Surprised that I’ve lost about 5 pounds in the last week, I’ve hit an all time low of 113! This is pretty insane for me since I haven’t been this small since I was like 12. Now, [...]

Ice Skating fun turns into a trip to the ER. Yes, stitches required.
By Jane on October 30, 2009
As I may have mentioned, Thelma is taking ice skating lessons and cannot get enough of it. She wants to go at every opportunity and likes to get there early so she can maximize ice time. We went for a private lesson today to prepare for a competition that is coming up. She had her [...]

Using our fire pit to make Chelo Kabob the old school way…
By Jane on March 21, 2011
This time of the year is perfect for a fire pit at night so we’ve been enjoying a warm fire in the crisp evenings. Last night, we were craving Chelo Koobideh (ground beef) Kabob, one of the staples of Persian food. The MEN decided they would use the fire pit to grill our kabobs the [...]

Maybe I should get one of these…

Saw this the other day. I always wonder why people get personalized tags. Must be an ego thing. Anyway, I can relate to this one. -Jane, Lover of Starbucks

Crispy Flounder with Persian Rice & Butternut Squash.
By Jane on February 21, 2011
So here’s the finale of the dinner I made the other day. I didn’t do a full post on the flounder but it’s quite easy. Just take your flounder and coat the outside with flour, turmeric, salt & pepper. Cook it in oil until cripsy on med-high. They come out beautifully golden, crispy on the [...]

Biking and Hill-Climbing Preggar.
By Jane on January 21, 2011
The other day, we were blessed with unseasonable warm weather for this time of the year so we decided to take our bikes out and enjoy it! Plus, we had to go get some groceries. The hill next to our house was still iced over in parts so we had to be super careful. Dick’s [...]

Kwik Kwote: Chick-fil-A on a Sunday
By Jane on October 4, 2009
I’m sitting outside…guess where…yes, Starbucks. I see two male teenagers sitting in their car, ready to leave to get to their next destination. Teenboy 1 to teenboy 2: “Dude, do you mind going thru the drive-thru of Chick-fil-a for a sec?… …Oh fuck! It’s Sunday, dude. They’re closed.” Now, how many of you have said [...]

Your Daily Benz: Newest member of the Village People???
By Jane on September 8, 2011
Dick hadn’t seen Benz in his sailor outfit so we put him in it. Look at my handsome little sailor. All tucked in so we can his beautiful shape. Except, towards the end of the day, his shirt came untucked and started to ride up above his fat tummy. I think Benz could definitely be [...]

Depreciation is a bitch. I will never buy a brand new car again.
By Jane on February 10, 2010
Because we have somehow found ourselves to be running a car business, our ride changes constantly. It’s awesome because I get to drive all different kinds of cars and figure them out. Keeps my brain working since I have to remember how to release the trunk, how to turn on the windshield wipers, and how [...]

Swine Flu: To Vaccinate or Not to Vaccinate?
By Jane on October 1, 2009
I just read that a new H1N1 flu vaccination is on its way to the public so am I in high anticipation like everyone else? I don’t know too many people who are excited to be getting a sharp needle in your arm, or leg, or anywhere else! Lucky for me that I don’t like [...]

By Jane on March 11, 2011
It’s that time of the year and Thelma couldn’t be more excited. It’s SOCCER TIME! I take Thelma to her first soccer practice for the season. I opt to watch from my car today because I forgot my chair. And, today is crazy windy and cold. Plus, to keep myself entertained, I brought along a [...]

Family Arts and Crafts: The flower series.
By Jane on February 19, 2010
A couple of years ago I started “Family Arts and Crafts Time” for our family. I would go to the dollar store and buy something we could paint and then we would paint them at home one night as a fun family project. We have a few completed projects: The Birdhouse Series. The Seashell Series. [...]

Every once in a while, I like to go to the auction to check out the cars. Dick usually does it but I like to see what’s there and test drive them. I thought that Eminem, being a young man, would enjoy seeing all the different cars. He did. AUDI When we check out cars, [...]

We’re eating Vegan at Vegan Glory
By Jane on January 3, 2010
I am by no means a vegetarian or vegan but I do try to eat less meat. The other day, I went with Lucy, Ricky and Thelma to Vegan Glory, a fantastic vegan restaurant that uses Soy to make imitation chicken, beef, and shrimp. It was extremely tasty and I quite enjoyed it.

We goin’ ridin’ in our PINK CADILLAC.
By Jane on February 15, 2011
No, not me! Although, I spotted one the other day on the road. It’s such a horrible tone of pink, like florescent or something. Florescent anything is heinous. I’m like, who would drive such a thing? Upon closer examination, I see the side emblem. Ok, Mary Kay, makes sense now…except…it was a DUDE driving the [...]
