What is this I see ahead? A Lamborghini???

It’s one of the old ones from the 80s. A Countach.

My first love of cars started with a Lamborghini. I wanted one bad. Not so anymore.

We smoke the Lamborghini in our Volvo Station Wagon that we’re driving. Oh yeah!

We need gas so we stop here. Hmmm…This…seems…interesting…

The sign says “welcome” so we go on in. I almost have a heart attack passing this dummy in a wheelchair. I thought he was for reals out of the corner of my eye!

This place KINDA reminds me of Cracker Barrel except, NOT. I think this is the Real Deal!

Similar to Cracker Barrel, there’s a gift shop and restaurant with home cookin’. Where is everyone???

But, this is a pit stop and all my girls want to do is ride the horsey and then we’s out!

The sun is going down with the most amazing large moon in view. Yeah, that’s the moon!

Sunsets are spectacular.

I think I enjoy sunsets more, but only because I’m not a morning person.

We get to our destination.

Time to go back home now.

My kids love riding the escalator. It’s just a thing all kids like to do. Lucy Lu and I used to play on these things all the time waiting for Mom to shop.

Dick is out in Cali visiting his family for two weeks and so I’m left here to take care of the things that he can’t. Usually, it’s Dick who drives four hours to Gotham City whenever we have to take care of our residential rental properties, the car business, or our commercial properties. The property that we just cleaned up is still vacant and there are two girls who are interested in looking at it. We have a friend who can show the property for us but since he has no vested interest in it, I feel it’s better that I show it myself. I decide to take the girls and hit the road. This is going to be a nice one-nighter girls-only trip!

OUR STUDIO: We have a 500-sf studio condo that we use as our office away from home. I love it because it brings us close as a family since we’re pretty much forced to be in each other’s faces. We’re right downtown  so we have access to great restaurants, art, night life, culture, etc. It’s urban living with loud sirens every morning.

NOW, THE HATCHING DINOSAUR EGG…

One of Thelma and Louise’s best friends had a hatching dinosaur egg that they bought from Cracker Barrel. It’s an egg that when you put it in water, a dinosaur slowly hatches from the egg within a 24 hour period. So, what do you know, when we had to stop to get something to eat, the girls insisted on Cracker Barrel. That’s when they used their own money to buy the eggs. Thelma routinely checked on her egg every 5 minutes to see if the egg was hatching.

That night she wants to stay up all night to watch the egg hatch but then sleepiness overcomes her little body.

SLIPPERS READY.

It’s always difficult to remember everything…NO TOOTHBRUSHES. DAMN.

We forget toothbrushes and so the girls…well…they improvise…it’s just one night.

The next day the dinosaurs have hatched, pretty much on their own. The girls were too impatient to wait for them to fully hatch themselves so they pried apart some of the eggshell.

There’s a fantastic kids library around the corner, the Imaginon, so we decide to walk there to do some research on Dinosaurs. The girls want to know what to feed it so we need to find out what our newly hatched Dinos eat. Off to research Dinosaurs…see girls like dinosaurs too! The dinos have now replaced Monk and Kitty as tag-a-longs…at least for now.

RESEARCH TIME.

We discover that the dinosaurs we have look similar but not exactly like the ones in the books. Oh well.
