After painting first two colors (Hep Green and Reflecting Pool), I notice that the colors on my walls are turning out darker than the ones in the brochure. However, I’m still DETERMINED to pull this room together and make it FABULOUS for my girls. The girl’s room is low lit so that’s why the colors [...]

Thelma goes CRAZY at crazy clothes day at our homeschool co-op.
By Jane on February 18, 2011
Our co-op often has a special day where the kids can dress up. We have pajama day, crazy hair day, crazy hat day, etc. Today was crazy clothes day and Thelma threw something together that morning. Pretty crazy that girl and she didn’t even have any help from her crazy Momma. I stopped dressing them [...]

PAINTING FRENZIE: The front porch gets an uplift too.
By Jane on May 11, 2010
It’s spring and since it’s still somewhat nice outside and not too hot, I like to do some work around the house. Not only did the back porch need some lovin’, the front porch does too! See where I went pressure-washer crazy?

Your official SNEAK PEAK at our new Art Lounge in Gotham City.
By Jane on April 21, 2011
We haven’t officially opened our doors yet but we have been working long and hard on yet another business venture. Aside from our rental properties, we also have a couple of commercial spaces uptown. In fact, they are right around the corner and in the same building as our Studio Condo. This was strategic planning [...]

I’m Going to Finish My Peach First
By Jane on August 29, 2009
DICK is driving me around METROPOLIS for a photo project I’m doing with www.buyusafirst.org. John Gibson, CEO of United Intelligence Corporation, is an entrepreneur who has several business of his own and also works as a consultant for women entrepreneurs. John is also my husband’s, mother’s, cousin’s husband. I meet John for the first time in California a month ago and immediately I like him. He’s Super-intelligent, seems to take everything in stride and is always smiling. Doesn’t he look kinda like Bill Gates?

Old Asian Drivers. Need I say more.
By Jane on February 23, 2011
Sadly, my parents Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac fall in the same category as those old Asian drivers that people so often get frustrated at. We were going to a new park and they were following us in their car. Except, my mom is driving (She always drives because she gets motion sickness if she [...]

Dear Santa. I hope you “egxist”.
By Jane on December 26, 2010
Louise is very inquisitive and very smart. She’s very logical and thinks in detail and again, this year I was posed with the question “Is Santa real?”. I was already faced with this question last year (Click HERE for that post.) Oh the dilemma! Again, I responded this year with “Well, I’m not sure honey. [...]

My new Facebook friend (friend that I met on FB) is doing this awesome documentary about finding his Vietnamese soul. Born and raised in Paris, Nacho Bui is looking to learn about his roots and is traveling all over the world to document his journey. Below is the trailer for his series. It’s done quite [...]

John Mayer’s song HEARTBREAK WARFARE
By Jane on April 14, 2010
I was trolling on my favorite blogger’s website, Perez Hilton and came across some great music, as I often do on Perez. This is John Mayer’s LIVE performance of Heartbreak Warefare and this Jane totally DIGS IT! I love the guitar on this song. John Mayer is a true talent and has a pretty, smooth [...]

We venture out of our bubble and head to the MALL…it’s only been two years!
By Jane on March 7, 2011
I never go to the mall because everything I NEED is at the back of my house. So, I hardly ever leave “the bubble” and the mall is OUTSIDE “the bubble”. Plus, there’s nothing I NEED at the mall. Lots of stuff I WANT but not really NEED. And, if I am actually allow for time to spend at [...]

Startbucks Pumpkin Muffin…a seasonal treat that needs to be permanent!
By Jane on October 6, 2010
My new favorite treat for myself is a PUMPKIN MUFFIN from Starbucks. It goes so great with my HOT CARAMEL MACCHIATO. Not too RICH or DRY like some of their other desserts, this pumpkin muffin (with cream cheese in the middle of the top) is the perfect blend of MOISTNESS and SWEETNESS. I was told [...]

Louise tries to copy my drawings.
By Jane on February 12, 2011
Louise loves art and had seen my sketches of the stick figures I draw laying around. So, she took it upon herself to try to copy my drawings. Here’s what she came up with: She did so good! I love her adorable stick figures! Here’s the comparisons: She also did a few of her own, this [...]

George Costanza was on to something when he made a bed under his desk.
By Jane on November 11, 2009
I am known to be able to fall asleep anywhere, anytime, in a matter of minutes. I have no trouble sleeping on a train, a plane, in a car, on the bus, etc. I’m not narcoleptic as my dear sister would proclaim but I have fallen asleep while talking on the phone before, mid sentence. [...]

My Big Fat Persian Family in LA
By Jane on December 13, 2009
Dick’s family just recently relocated to LA from Germany. If you’ve ever seen the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Dick’s family kinda reminds me of that. They are bold, not shy to speak their mind, always talking and talking loudly, always having a great time laughing and dancing, and eating.

Oh, my food baby (as Louise kindly calls my enlarging tummy) is getting even bigger. Yes, it’s a good holiday. However, regret has already hit. At this rate, baby will be due in spring. Sigh…Melly Belly. -Jane, Food Baby Carrier

Em discovers Jean Diapers on a late night run to Walmart.
By Jane on August 26, 2010
My whole family is a family of LATE-NIGHTERS, minus Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac, so, it’s great to have a 24-hour Super Walmart that is accessible to us. What are we looking to buy? Nothing in particular. Em spots Jean Diapers! “Sick!” Spoken like a true teenager. I just think it’s funny that my 18-year old [...]

By Jane on November 8, 2009
These are the moments to treasure. I was just taken aback by how lovely my Thelma looked on this morning after she woke up. So innocent and peaceful. I hope she will always be this way.
