In LA, whenever we go to Urth Cafe, we always pass this beautiful bathroom place. Thelma really wants to go inside so we do. Everything in this store is MAGNIFICENT!

An unconventional Christmas Day spent at Santa Monica Beach.
By Jane on December 27, 2009
We spent Christmas Day this year chillin’ at Santa Monica Beach. Somehow it doesn’t really feel like Christmas when you’re at the beach on a sunny day and its about 60F.

My Asian, nearly non-existent eye lashes definitely need mascara!
By Jane on December 15, 2010
I’m Asian and we’re not really known for having long eyelashes. Actually, Asians are lucky if they even have an inkling of lashes. Unlike my Persian-mixed daughters who inherited long luscious lashes from her father’s side, I am not as fortunate as they are. Therefore, I need a little assistance from the mascara wand. My [...]

You may or may not know that I am the one who takes care of the yard work in our family. Yes, I’m the “yard boy” or if you live out in California, I’m the “gardener”. Either way, I mow the grass, weedwack, edge, and leaf blow. It takes me about 2.5 hours to do my 1+ acre yard the way I like it. Yes, I’m anal about the yard. I like it to look neat and pristine, hence I do not let Dick cut the grass…not that he would volunteer to do it anyway.

Simple and super tasty Almond Crusted Chilean Sea Bass.
By Jane on February 11, 2011
I made some Chilean Sea Bass the other day for my dad’s birthday. All I did was sprinkle salt, pepper, and my special mushroom seasoning (optional) and cooked the bass in the oven at 350F for about 30-40 minutes (or until it’s cooked). Use olive oil to coat the pan. I then added a crushed [...]

Our first real swim meet…a very long one.
By Jane on July 1, 2011
It’s our first real swim meet of the season. The girls are excited because their best friends from Gotham City are here, you know…the ones where we had the meltdown in the parking lot? First are warm-ups. This is before all the chaos starts. Swim meets are usually pretty crowded. You have the swimmers and [...]

I’m going to start asking for your comments and feedback because I wanna know! We all wanna know! Plus, it’s just good therapy to let it all out! Don’t worry about being weird. We’re all weird and different. That’s what makes life interesting. Anyway, you can remain anonymous. Just don’t put your real name, duh! [...]

Rusty Candle: Random pics for your enjoyment.
By Jane on March 13, 2011
After wacking all that monkey grass, I sat on my back porch to rest a sec and noticed this candle holder I have left outside a long time ago. This used to be silver but I think I like the rusty look much better now. I decide to put this cream floating flower candle on [...]

Louise not feeling well. A LAZY DAY is just the cure.
By Jane on April 8, 2010
Louise was not feeling well at all the other day, can you tell? Girlfriend had a cough and stomach ache. Since it was a co-op day, Thelma went to class while Louise just rested at home. Most of the day Louise spent in bed. However, it was such a beautiful day, too beautiful to let go to [...]

Your Daily Osho: Choose Nature. Don’t be a loser.
By Jane on January 28, 2011
EVERDAY OSHO: CHOOSE NATURE Wherever you find that society is in conflict with nature, choose nature – whatever the cost. You will never be a loser. The thinking up to now has been that the individual exists for the society, that the individual has to follow what the society dictates. The individual has to fit [...]

Thelma’s First Ice Skating Competition
By Jane on November 17, 2009
Thelma’s has been taking ice skating lessons for about two months now. Her coach approached her about doing a competition and Thelma was more than eager to sign up. Since it is a small, local artistic competition, and even though she just started taking lessons, Dick and I thought it would be fun and good [...]

Benz recognizes stranger danger, gives the pouty lip.
By Jane on November 7, 2011
One day I went to Lowe’s to get a mulching kit for my lawn mower. I’ve gone there so many times for things for my lawn equipment that the gentleman who works there, Mr. John Deere, knows me and my girls. I always call ahead and make sure that Mr. John is there when I need [...]

Jane’s Maternity Wear: I recycle Lucy’s black shirt and match it up with some Gap Maternity Jeans.
By Jane on January 3, 2011
Lucy has a lot of old clothes at my parents house that just sits there…day after day, month after month, year after year. So I’ll often go through it to see what I can use since she isn’t! Why waste I say. Recycle! Take this black shirt for instance. Actually, Louise found this shirt in [...]

DICK: Daddy Day at Ballet, Tutus and all.
By Jane on January 19, 2010
The girls have been taking ballet since they were 5, taking off a year here or there. Louise was excited to start ballet again but since Thelma was crazy about ice skating, she wasn’t feelin’ ballet as much and decided not to take lessons this year. And ever Louise started up again this last fall, [...]

My new melons cantaloupes. Yes, they’re store bought!

By Jane on July 31, 2011
My sleeping beauties… I can’t believe how grown they are. Just the sweetest things in the world. I adore these girls. Such a difference from when Thelma was 18 months and Louise was just born. Louise was literally 3-4 days old. It’s true what they say…kids grow too fast. I can’t believe it’s been 8 years. [...]

Old Asian Drivers. Need I say more.
By Jane on February 23, 2011
Sadly, my parents Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac fall in the same category as those old Asian drivers that people so often get frustrated at. We were going to a new park and they were following us in their car. Except, my mom is driving (She always drives because she gets motion sickness if she [...]

My parents go to a Trannie Show in Thailand.
By Jane on March 3, 2011
In addition to visiting Vietnam, my parents, aunts and uncle-in-law head to Thailand for 4 nights/five days. It’s ultra cheap to go to Thailand from Vietnam: It’s an ALL-INCLUSIVE package that comes with airfare, accommodations, transportation, shows and food for 5 days was only $400 per person. A chartered trip where they take you around [...]
