Since the girls fell asleep while I was finishing up our Sponge Bob pumpkin, they were surprised to see that Mommy didn’t screw up the carving job. I’m glad my “customers” were happy with their order.

The forgotten hallway closets.
By Jane on February 16, 2012
Day two and I start by attacking the forgotten hallway closets. We hardly ever open these closet doors, we just throw shit inside and shut the door so we can’t see it. Well, not exactly intentionally like that but it ended up definitely looking like it. Stuff just started accumulating and with no time (And, [...]

My girls have been inspired to read. Hope they keep it up.
By Jane on February 10, 2010
I’m so excited that Thelma and Louise are getting into reading. Now that I’ve cut off the TV at home, it’s made a world of difference.

The family gets paid to spend a day on the lake for a Bayliner Boat shoot.
By Jane on August 11, 2011
Our family was fortunate enough to be selected to do a shoot for Bayliner, the boat company. I guess they liked our family’s International look. Except, poor Benz is too small to be on a boat so I had to make arrangements for him to stay home. Luckily, as I may have mentioned, my parents [...]

Texts from Vietnam: Already torturous getting everyone together.
By Jane on January 3, 2011
Texts that I have received from Lucy while she and the rest of my family are in Vietnam: Dec. 25, 2010 Already torturous getting everyone together. This cracks me up. This is like her second day in Vietnam. My aunt, Queen Latifa and my other aunt from Australia (w/husband) are there with Lucy. And, my [...]

Fashion Smashion: Fall Layers, Fuzzy Boots, and Safety Pins?
By Jane on October 6, 2009
Fanny Mae bought Thelma this super-cute sweater with white blouse underneath. Fall is all about layers. Thelma was so excited that it was cool enough to wear her new shirt on this day and pairs it nicely with some jeans. Fuzzy boots complimented with a super urban and chic messenger bag and you’re ready to [...]

Abstract Orchids with Punches of Color.
By Jane on March 10, 2011
Are you sick of orchids yet? If not, here are more. I took some of the ones I already edited and added punches of color to make them more abstract. I’ve added some of the original RAW/unedited pictures to show you what they looked like before I put my Ahhh-tist touch to them. AN AHHH-TIST’S [...]

Back to Reasonable Ron’s. It’s been a while since I’ve seen my Harley Boys.
By Jane on May 7, 2010
We got new Lexus RX300 that I love. It’s nearly perfect except for two of it’s tires are bald and two are like new. The bald ones were in the front. And the good ones were in the rear. See the difference? This one has considerably more tread. REASONABLE RON’S USED TIRES It doesn’t make [...]

The girls and I have a daily competition to see who can acquire the most bugs. Except, we don’t play PUNCH bugs. I don’t like being punched. Getting punched unexpectedly could easily throw this Momma into a bad mood. I already get a slight heart attack when they scream, BUG!!! And, nowadays, these bugs are [...]

Jane’s Maternity Wear: I recycle Lucy’s black shirt and match it up with some Gap Maternity Jeans.
By Jane on January 3, 2011
Lucy has a lot of old clothes at my parents house that just sits there…day after day, month after month, year after year. So I’ll often go through it to see what I can use since she isn’t! Why waste I say. Recycle! Take this black shirt for instance. Actually, Louise found this shirt in [...]

Right song + Wrong timing = Embarrassing Moment.
By Jane on November 25, 2009
June Cleaver and I became good friends when Thelma was in public school for Kindergarten. One of the few good things that came out of that. June and I connected right away being that June is also an exceptional artist, she’s groovy, down-to-earth and unpretentious…she’s not your typical “Mommy” and isn’t phased by some of [...]

The girls noticed a pay phone the other day and commented: “Mommy look! You don’t see much of these anymore!” So true. With the advent of the cell phone, who needs a pay phone these days? Good riddens though. The earpiece on those things are nasty! The last time I used one was over ten [...]

Shockingly, I come to the sunny state of California to cold and rain. Cold doesn’t really mean cold. It means, cold for LA…which is only mild spring-like weather for everyone else. Today was cloudy with occassional rain, and totally blah blah blah. It feels like April showers weather and is around the same temperature. High is around 60F [...]

As I said, while we were working, the girls were playing. Thelma especially loves to swing really high and then jump off. Louise, not so much. She is much more cautious. -Jane, Mother to Swinging/Jumping Girls.

I hate eye poo. By eye-poo, I’m talking about that crusty shit that makes your eyes stick together. What is the formal word for it? I know it in Vietnamese but not in English. I’m sure my doctor friends can tell me. Anyway, poor Benz got “an eye-full” over the holidays. He had a cold [...]

Louise runs a 5K with Girls on the Run!!
By Jane on May 5, 2011
Louise often runs with her Daddy and wanted to join a running group. Dick found one called Girls on the Run. So, for about 8 weeks or so, Louise had been going twice a week to practice. At the end of that term, they were to run a 5K…which is a little over 3 miles!! Three miles!!! I’m [...]
