Since the girls fell asleep while I was finishing up our Sponge Bob pumpkin, they were surprised to see that Mommy didn’t screw up the carving job. I’m glad my “customers” were happy with their order.

Your daily Benz: Sweet Benz and Mommy.
By Jane on August 20, 2011
Benz is constantly changing. If I just take a picture from a different angle, he looks different to me. Of all my kids, Benz seems to have the least hair so far. I know, it’s still early but both my girls had tons of hair by now. Well, I guess you’re taking after your [...]

It’s a small world. Random meetings result in a weird connection.
By Jane on February 2, 2010
Do you remember when I said that I met this lady at the park and she had locked herself out of her car? (Click HERE for the story.) Well, her and her girls sat in my car while they waited for a ride. So, we chatted while she was in the car. I find out [...]

Fulfilling my bet with Thelma: Camping in the Minivan
By Jane on September 16, 2009
Thelma made a bet with me that if she was able to fast and abstain from eating for a day, I would then camp out in the car with her overnight, in our yard. This is not something I’m too excited about doing and I thought hoped maybe she would forget about it but alas, [...]

Visiting with the elderly neighbors on a walk to the Grandparents’ house.
By Jane on July 12, 2011
The other day we were going to go for an after-dinner walk to my parent’s house. Since their house is less than a mile away it’s a great short, casual walk. First we play a little soccer in the yard. Benz is strapped in and ready to go into a Baby Bjorn given to me [...]

Ok, so publicly announcing that I have a feet picking problem has not helped me to pick it any less. I’m REALLY in pain right now, slightly bleeding, and walking around on my tippy toes. YOWZERS!! This is really a problem. Now, how am I going to be a ping-pong champion if I can’t even [...]

I had introduced my girls to one of my childhood favorites. Apples with peanut butter spread on top. I remember thinking, apples…with peanut butter…really. But, it’s SOOOOO good. If you’ve never tried it, OMG, you’re missing out! My kids LOVE it! We all do. Get your protein as well as keep the doctor away! By [...]

Finally ready to assemble the Twin Beds.
By Jane on December 30, 2010
After nearly waiting two weeks in high anticipation of having their own NEW beds, we are finally ready to start the assembly process. We start with one bed and take out all the pieces. I’m in charge of reading the instructions and telling everyone what to do. As Dick points out, “You ARE the Eng-gin-eer!”

Jane fails first Glucose Test and must go in for the 3-hour Test. Ugh…
By Jane on March 4, 2011
So, I failed the preliminary Glucose Test but missed the mark marginally. I scored 152 and 140 is the limit. Still, they wanted me to go in for the extended Glucose Test, which lasts THREE HOURS and fasting is required…because telling a pregnant woman to starve herself is a good thing. After delaying and forgetting [...]

Stuffed Animal World. Plus, Monk & Dick have bonding time.
By Jane on March 12, 2010
You know how some people have imaginary friends growing up? Well, Thelma has a world called “Stuffed Animal World”. This is where Munck comes from…who she believes to be very real, growing and living with feelings and emotions. Munck is very much part of the family (Ducky as well.).

Finally, after two years…Christmas with the family.
By Jane on January 2, 2012
Alright, so I’m going out of order but here are some pictures of our Christmas last week. For me, the best part of Christmas is not about the presents but having family get together. I’m excited to have my family together since last year my parents, sister, and aunt all left me to go to [...]

The family goes to their first women’s college soccer match.
By Jane on October 25, 2010
With the girls being so excited about soccer, Dick wanted surprise the girls by taking them to an actual match so they could feel the energy of being at a game and see how competitive women’s soccer is played. So, we decided to take the girls to see my college alma mater’s ladies soccer team, who is playing one [...]

Queenie Quote: Queenie responds to the updated blog. LOL
By Jane on January 8, 2011
In response to my last posting on the updated blog about her response: “She funny. She not normal. She the same (pointing to her sister and mom of my cousin in Australia). The bot get on my nerbes.” Said with her funny broken Viet/Enlish accent. HAHA. Yes, she’s referring to me. I know you love [...]

Modern PAJAMA Family Photo Shoot.
By Jane on January 26, 2011
I’m finally at my friend’s house after running out of gas and being rescued, and ready to do the photo shoot for her family. When I do family shoots, I like to create a “mini-event” that fits the personality of the family where I’m just there to document all the fun, snapping away. I’m not [...]

I’ve always loved cutting hair. Lucy Lu can tell you about the time i cut her Barbie’s hair…promising up and down how it would grow back so she would let me do it. She can also tell you about the first bangs she ever got in her life…compliments of moi. The ended up looking like [...]

Dogs: The latest accessory and social magnet.
By Jane on May 19, 2010
People have dogs for companionship but lately, dogs have become kind of like an accessory and social magnet. Right beside the fountain of geysers where we were splashing around in the water is a field where many people like to come to kick around a ball, throw a frisbee, toss a baseball, or many people [...]

Swine Flu: To Vaccinate or Not to Vaccinate?
By Jane on October 1, 2009
I just read that a new H1N1 flu vaccination is on its way to the public so am I in high anticipation like everyone else? I don’t know too many people who are excited to be getting a sharp needle in your arm, or leg, or anywhere else! Lucky for me that I don’t like [...]

While the girls are playing on the playground, Dick and I go for a walk with Benz. Only, it seems like it’s just the two of them… Dick took a few of me but they were just hideous. Not solely the fault of the photographer. I wish Dick had some photo skillz so that I [...]

Yet Another Roadtrip: Picking up Daddy & Visiting with Friends
By Jane on November 18, 2009
It’s time to retreive Daddy since he’s been gone for over 2 weeks in LaLa Land (A.k.a. LA, Los Angeles). We found a great reasonable flight that is direct but it’s a 3 hour drive to this airport. Dick’s flight is supposed to arrive at 3:30pm and so I’m rushing to hit the road after Mother-Daughter [...]
