Since the girls fell asleep while I was finishing up our Sponge Bob pumpkin, they were surprised to see that Mommy didn’t screw up the carving job. I’m glad my “customers” were happy with their order.

Wanting a NATURAL child birth and research on the risks/side effects of inductions.
By Jane on May 24, 2011
Before I get to our birthing story, some background as to how we wanted to see this birth through. MY FIRST TWO PREGNANCIES Being pregnant nearly eight years after my last child and ten since the birth of my first…it was like starting over again. However, this time around I feel a little old and [...]

A blue pacifier lollipop may not be manly but definitely signs of a great dad.
By Jane on December 20, 2009
Mark Anthony is a super duper guy, husband, father and brother-in-law. I liked him immediately when I met him. He’s also quite funny and silly. Here Mark is enjoying one of those pacifier lollipops…a blue one.

The US Open tennis finals were just on with Nadal and Djokovic competing. A fantastic match. Here’s my dad, Freddie Mac, and Dick chillin’ on the couch watching it. Cute! I love how my dad rests his arms on his melly belly. -Jane, Fan of Father, Son-in-Law Bonding.

Queenie Quotes: Words of wisdom from the Queen!
By Jane on January 8, 2011
Quotes (and words of wisdom) from my Aunt, Queen Latifa (aka The Chin). Queenie is a no-nonsense, blunt and to the point woman…texted to me from my sister while they are in Vietnam. “If I’m paralyzed, take me around all day. At least 8 hours a day…less if it’s cold. Don’t leave me at home. [...]

Ok, so publicly announcing that I have a feet picking problem has not helped me to pick it any less. I’m REALLY in pain right now, slightly bleeding, and walking around on my tippy toes. YOWZERS!! This is really a problem. Now, how am I going to be a ping-pong champion if I can’t even [...]

I just realized while doing the Sunday United Crossword puzzle that “opinion” comes from “opine” – to think. Yes, slowly but surely… -Jane, Lifetime Student

Some things run in the family… Guess who else has OCD and a feet picking problem? The Queen herself. See people? Socks don’t make a difference…unless they’re made of iron and have padlocks on them before you can take them off. But then, I guess it would be difficult to find shoes to fit over these socks. And, of course, the [...]

Breast Feeding: The pros and cons of having watermelons for boobs.
By Jane on June 29, 2011
I love nursing. Aside from it being the best milk for your child (unless you’re downing shots of tequila daily or shooting up heroine), for someone who is lazy like me, it’s perfect except for two three things…they’re too huge, having to wear a bra 24/7 and fatty armpits. Yes, fat armpits! WATERMELONS One being [...]

By Jane on January 3, 2011
Texts that I have received from Lucy while she and the rest of my family are in Vietnam: Dec. 25, 2010 Already torturous getting everyone together. This cracks me up. This is like her second day in Vietnam. My aunt, Queen Latifa and my other aunt from Australia (w/husband) are there with Lucy. And, my [...]

Thelma writes Daddy a sweet note before he leaves town.
By Jane on September 22, 2010
Before Dick left to go out of town the other day, Thelma decides to write her Daddy a note and puts it in his bag before he leaves. Be careful? Upon closer inspection… Ahhhh, yessssss… She’s referring to the MOST UNFORTUNATE accident which has caused his 3-ball situation. Don’t mistake this with “THE SITUATION” from [...]

Lucy and I look for the perfect short and fat Christmas tree.
By Jane on December 3, 2011
We usually do Christmas at my mom’s house so the Christmas tree goes over there. Every year, it’s Lucy and I who go shopping for the tree. Don’t let the picture fool you into thinking Lucy is taller than me…Lucy is sporting 3″ heeled boots. In actuality, she’s one inch SHORTER than me, even though [...]

Prince of Persia Review. Jake Gyllenhaal can be my Prince anyday.
By Jane on June 18, 2010
Back to being on good terms, we take the kids to go see Prince of Persia. I wonder who picked this one? Actually, we all wanted to see it. I take out my camera to get some pics. Dick sees me and tells me to put it away. “They’re going to think you’re video taping. [...]

Simple and super tasty Almond Crusted Chilean Sea Bass.
By Jane on February 11, 2011
I made some Chilean Sea Bass the other day for my dad’s birthday. All I did was sprinkle salt, pepper, and my special mushroom seasoning (optional) and cooked the bass in the oven at 350F for about 30-40 minutes (or until it’s cooked). Use olive oil to coat the pan. I then added a crushed [...]
