<p style="text-align: justify;">Ok, so I noticed that alot of my posts are regarding food. Yes, this Jane  and Lucy love food and we love to eat. Please refrain from any comments, Dick. Dick is somewhere laughing saying, &#8220;Yeah they do!&#8221;. Whatever!</p>
<p><a href="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5360-8.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7065" title="IMG_5360-8" src="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5360-8-500x374.jpg" alt="IMG_5360-8" width="500" height="374" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">However, I think Lucy loves food even more than I do. When I&#8217;m around Lucy, inevitably, she will be saying these sentences at some point in the day&#8230;separately, consecutively, repeatedly, or in combination.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #cc0033;"> <span id="more-7057"></span></span></p>
<p style="font: normal normal normal 20px/normal Papyrus; color: #463c3c; text-align: center; margin: 0px;">
<p style="font: normal normal normal 20px/normal Papyrus; color: #463c3c; text-align: center; margin: 0px;">
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #cc0033;">&#8220;I&#8217;m hungry.&#8221;</span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #cc0033;">&#8220;What are we going to eat?&#8221;</span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #cc0033;">&#8220;I&#8217;m SO hungry!&#8221;</span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #cc0033;">&#8220;Oh, I&#8217;m so full!&#8221;</span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #cc0033;">&#8220;I&#8217;m sleepy now.&#8221;</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">I think this must be one the of reasons why she loves being in LA&#8230;You can get all kinds of food from all different cultures. You just have to drive an hour to get there! I don&#8217;t believe I have ever driven so much for lunch at an establishment.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5376-18.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-7059  aligncenter" title="IMG_5376-18" src="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5376-18-374x500.jpg" alt="IMG_5376-18" width="374" height="500" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">On this day, Lucy and I were craving Dim Sum. The girls love dim sum so we brought them as well as their cousin, Will. We head to a great Dim Sum restaurant in Monterey Park.</p>
<p><a href="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5355-3.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7060" title="IMG_5355-3" src="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5355-3-500x374.jpg" alt="IMG_5355-3" width="500" height="374" /></a></p>
<p style="font: normal normal normal 20px/normal Papyrus; color: #463c3c; text-align: center; margin: 0px;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"><span style="color: #cc0033;">DIM SUM: CHINESE BRUNCH</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">If you have never had dim sum and are <strong>A</strong><strong>DVENTUROUS</strong> to try it, it is a Chinese &#8220;brunch&#8221; where the food is carted around so that you may pick and choose what you would like to eat.</p>
<p><a href="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5372-15.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7061" title="IMG_5372-15" src="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5372-15-500x374.jpg" alt="IMG_5372-15" width="500" height="374" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The food consists of a wide variety of traditional chinese dumplings, vegetables, seafood, meat, and desserts and is offered in small portions so that you can try many different things. It&#8217;s SO yummy.For more on Dim Sum, click <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dim_sum">HERE</a>.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It&#8217;s like eating a bunch of different appetizers or hors d&#8217;oeuvres instead of one main meal. I love it because you get variety and get to taste a little bit of everything!</p>
<p><a href="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5356-4.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7062" title="IMG_5356-4" src="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5356-4-500x323.jpg" alt="IMG_5356-4" width="500" height="323" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Each plate has a different price but most dishes range anywhere from $2-$5 each. The cart-pusher (I don&#8217;t know what they are called. Hope this is not offensive to anyone.)  pushes this cart around and stops by your table. You look or they show you what they have. If you like it, they&#8217;ll check off a pre-printed bill that tells what size plate you selected and the accompanying price. They just keep going around the restaurant so if you want something, stop them.</p>
<p style="font: normal normal normal 20px/normal Papyrus; color: #463c3c; text-align: center; margin: 0px;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"><span style="color: #cc0033;">THE FOOD</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #cc0033;">SIU MAI, HA GAO, EGG ROLLS, VEGGIES, TOFU AND MORE&#8230;</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">So there are plenty of &#8220;different&#8221; things you can get when eating dim sum like <strong>CHICKEN FEET</strong> (yuck) or <strong>DUCK FEET</strong> (yuck) or <strong>BEEF TRIPE </strong>(Ok, I love this.) but we get the usual things&#8230;</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5362-9.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7066" title="IMG_5362-9" src="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5362-9-500x374.jpg" alt="IMG_5362-9" width="500" height="374" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Siu Mai.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">There were 4, we already ate two. This is like a wonton but meatier and I believe it is made from ground pork. This restaurant&#8217;s siu mai was especially tasty. They also had added some shrimp. Yum!</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">
<p style="text-align: justify;"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7069" title="IMG_5370-13" src="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5370-13-500x374.jpg" alt="IMG_5370-13" width="500" height="374" /><a href="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5354-2.jpg"></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Ha Gao.</p>
<p>Except, not. The kids love the Ha Gao so much I didn&#8217;t get a chance to take a picture before they inhaled it. This shrimp dumpling is similar except it&#8217;s not round and the shrimp also has some veggies inside.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5354-2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7067" title="IMG_5354-2" src="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5354-2-500x374.jpg" alt="IMG_5354-2" width="500" height="374" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Steamed veggies with a thick soy sauce, eggrolls, and black-egg congee (rice porridge).</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5353-1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7068" title="IMG_5353-1" src="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5353-1-500x374.jpg" alt="IMG_5353-1" width="500" height="374" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5358-6.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-7070    aligncenter" title="IMG_5358-6" src="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5358-6-374x500.jpg" alt="IMG_5358-6" width="374" height="500" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">She&#8217;s cutting up the portions so you don&#8217;t have to. All you have are those slippery plastic chopsticks.</p>
<p><a href="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5369-12.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7072" title="IMG_5369-12" src="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5369-12-500x374.jpg" alt="IMG_5369-12" width="500" height="374" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Tofu.</p>
<p>Yes, this is tofu. It&#8217;s tofu crepe-like rolls filled with a bit of meat, bamboo shoots and a ginger-soy like sauce. Extremely tasty!</p>
<p><a href="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5359-7.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7075" title="IMG_5359-7" src="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5359-7-500x375.jpg" alt="IMG_5359-7" width="500" height="375" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5365-10.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7073" title="IMG_5365-10" src="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5365-10-500x359.jpg" alt="IMG_5365-10" width="500" height="359" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">BBQ Pork-filled buns.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">The bread is soft like dinner rolls and slightly sweet.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5371-14.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-7074  aligncenter" title="IMG_5371-14" src="http://janeanddick.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/IMG_5371-14-500x448.jpg" alt="IMG_5371-14" width="500" height="448" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Egg Custard.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">There&#8217;s so much more that you can try: shrimp balls, eggplant, fried squid legs, pastries, tarot root, all sorts of dumplings, etc.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Oh, I miss dim sum. There&#8217;s none here in Metropolis.</p>
<p style="font: normal normal normal 20px/normal Papyrus; color: #463c3c; text-align: center; margin: 0px;"><span style="color: #cc0033;">-Jane, Dim Sum LOVER!</span></p>
