My kids love chicken noodle soup, especially when it’s cold. You don’t need a ton of ingredients and can easily throw it together. This time, I just used what I had. Since I had some chicken thighs in the fridge, I used that to make the broth. It’s fattier, but unfortunately, that’s the fat that makes it tasty.

Mean Mommie makes Louise cry while practicing piano.
By Jane on November 16, 2010
Thelma and Louise have started up piano lessons again. They have been taking lessons since they were 5-6 years old but hardly ever practice. And because we have so many things going on and a million other lessons, I haven’t enforced the practicing. However, I remember being a little more self motivated when I was a [...]

Rummikub with Lucy and Mamma F.
By Jane on January 4, 2010
Another favorite game that Lucy and I like to play is Rummikub. If you’ve never played this game before, it’s a great game with family and friends. The kids can actually play too. Since Lucy just lost to me in Boggle, we decided to move on to Rummikub and we’ve invited Mamma F to play [...]

Lowes has this great program for kids every other Saturday…all year round, where the kids can come build something. They hold a “workshop” where the kids can come and play carpenter for a day. It’s like a dream come true for me because if I haven’t mentioned it before, and Lucy is rolling her eyes [...]

Anticipation of Snow results in LONG ASS line at Blockbuster.
By Jane on January 30, 2010
Like everyone else in Metropolis, I was out getting groceries in anticipation of the “WINTER STORM” coming our way. Dick was driving back from Gotham City and although I was somewhat worried he would get caught in the storm, the snow had just started. He suggested I hit the Blockbuster and get us some movies. Just because I’m in my last trimester doesn’t mean the work stops. Besides loving to cut my grass, I wanna make sure I’m in shape to deliver this baby. Sometimes it’s a bumpy ride…hopefully this won’t put me into labor. Although I may use it as an alternative to be naturally induced. Ha! Yep, still [...]

Convenience shopping at Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac’s.
By Jane on October 27, 2010
We were out of eggs and rather than going to the grocery store and have to get dressed, drive, park, walk all the way to the back the store, get my eggs, possibily get distracted and buy a million other things, come back to the front, wait in line, check out, pay, find and walk to [...]

Introducing color #3: I stray from the brochure and go HOT.
By Jane on March 8, 2010
After painting first two colors (Hep Green and Reflecting Pool), I notice that the colors on my walls are turning out darker than the ones in the brochure. However, I’m still DETERMINED to pull this room together and make it FABULOUS for my girls. The girl’s room is low lit so that’s why the colors [...]

Jane’s Maternity Wear: Me and my bump at the Home Depot.
By Jane on December 31, 2010
Yes, those are my non-maternity ripped skinny jeans. My legs still fit and since they’re low-rise, they rise right below my bump. Awesome possum. Oh, and you’ll be seeing this jacket on me alot. It’s the only winter coat that I have that fits my exploding upper body. Yes, it’s a Gap Maternity Jacket that [...]

One of the walls of the girls room is completely blank and I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do to it. I thought maybe I would do four boxes of blue like from the brochure. Not FEELIN’ it. Plus, that would require lots of taping and I’m not up for it. [...]

Jane Loves Self-Cleaning Ovens
By Jane on February 5, 2010
Having owned the non-self cleaning kind of ovens for a long time, this Jane totally loves using the self-cleaning function on my oven. BEFORE Here’s the before, with lots of spilled cheese from pizzas and other random stuff that has fallen and burnt to a crisp. Yes, it’s quite nasty.

If I haven’t mentioned it already, we have the sweetest and most considerate girls ever! Right before Dick was getting ready to go to Gotham City for business, the girls decided to give him a massage in anticipation of all the HARD WORK he has to do while he’s gone. Thelma takes one of my [...]
