I know there are people who are out there that are like, “Homeschool?!?!? How do your kids get the “social” part of school?” My response is…”Besides letting the kids out of their cage for about an hour a day to stretch out their legs, we occasionally take them to the local grocery store to see how other humans interact.”

So while I was hanging with my girl having coffee, her “man friend” calls. “Man friend” was asking her what she was doing. Confuscia says…(matter-of-factly) “We hangin’ out here at the Starbucks lookin’ like a million bucks.” LOL. -Jane, Friend to Confuscia.

HORRIBLE! Kids committing suicide over being taunted for their sexuality.
By Jane on September 30, 2010
It seems that all I hear in the news these days is about kids who are bullied over their sexuality and more recently, at least 3 teenagers have taken their own lives in the last week or two alone! I am SO SADDENED and actually kind of IRATE at the SENSELESS deaths of these poor [...]

I’m taking Thelma and Louise on a field trip with their homeschool co-op. Where are we going today? We’re headed to Parrot Mountain and Wonderworks. Louise and Daddy duke it out…Kung Fu Panda-Style.
By Jane on December 15, 2009
One of the reasons I love Dick so much is that he’s really a fantastic Dad. Dick ADORES his girls and loves hanging with them, playing sports with them, wrestling with them, watching cartoons with them, etc. Being a big kid himself, all of this comes super naturally and easily.

My New Mi Goi (Ramen). Instructions included.
By Jane on March 1, 2010
Ramen, in Vietnamese, is “Mi Goi“. And I don’t know any Vietnamese people who do not eat “Mi Goi”. If you don’t, I would have to question your true Vietnamese-hood! So, remember I decided to venture out in life and try something new? I decided to try a new ramen that no one recommended to [...]

My parents invest in a plot of land and we get to reap the benefits of the amenities.
By Jane on July 16, 2011
Without even knowing how to play golf or even having an interest in it, my parents recently bought a piece of land at a golf community that is about 30 minutes away from us. No, they’re not planning on retiring or building a house here…its strictly an investment. But, even though we don’t have a [...]

The forgotten hallway closets.
By Jane on February 16, 2012
Day two and I start by attacking the forgotten hallway closets. We hardly ever open these closet doors, we just throw shit inside and shut the door so we can’t see it. Well, not exactly intentionally like that but it ended up definitely looking like it. Stuff just started accumulating and with no time (And, [...]
