I know there are people out there who find ironing to be extremely relaxing and meditational. Although I can understand this train of thought, I’m still not a fan. I don’t iron. Plain and simple. My family walks around in wrinkled clothes all the time. It’s just not one of my priorities.

My girls built another “house” in my parent’s living room the other day. This is not uncommon if not a weekly thing. I love that my parents don’t have a house where they’re afraid to let the girls touch anything. They get to unleash their creativity here alot. Today, it’s a “house” that they plan [...]

Pics from the new park that we were on the way to when my parents were following me. The sky was quite dramatic that day, especially since we got there around sundown. As the parents, we thought it necessary to test out the equipment to make sure it would be safe for the kids. LOL [...]

My country bumpkin and city slicker.
By Jane on June 10, 2011
My girls are quite similar but yet also quite different. Says Thelma (Country Bumpkin): “I wanna live in a cozy country-like house and have a red truck.” Says Louise (City Slicker): “I wanna live in a big city and a big fancy house.” I just wanted to write it down and have it for the [...]

We’re on our way to LaLa Land!!
By Jane on December 11, 2009
We’re off to Los Angeles, California, otherwise known as Lala Land. We’re super excited to see my sister, Lucy Lu and Dick’s sister’s family and his Mom for the Holidays. We get through security after having basically stripped down. It’s so ridiculous that we have to take off shoes.

Homemade chicken noodle soup to stay warm in this cold weather.
By Jane on January 16, 2010
My kids love chicken noodle soup, especially when it’s cold. You don’t need a ton of ingredients and can easily throw it together. This time, I just used what I had. Since I had some chicken thighs in the fridge, I used that to make the broth. It’s fattier, but unfortunately, that’s the fat that makes it tasty.

Loobia (green bean) Polow (rice) is a SUPER-yummy Persian dish that combines fragrant Basmati rice with a green bean tomato stew infused with lots of great taste and flavor. By Jane on August 13, 2010
I just love how these days you have to type in word confirmations where you have to use Million-Dollar Man type vision to try to decipher MORPHED ILLEGIBLE WORDS so the system can identify that you are indeed HUMAN and not some computer who is generating a bunch of automatic posts or whatever it is [...]

Surprise visit on my birthday.
By Jane on April 10, 2011
I’m 36 this year. Not a major milestone. And, with me being pregnant this year, no dress-up party like last year. Remember mine and June’s joint birthday bash… Pimps N’ Ho’s? I just wasn’t feelin’ it this year and just wanted to chill with my family. My birthday started out with Dick and the girls making [...]
