Another night of sleeping in the car…
By Jane on December 9, 2009
You remember my playroom is now indeed a garage and Dick is using it to do some routine maintenance our cars. If not click HERE. I just don’t see why he can’t work outside. So what it’s cold and snowing. Builds good character and makes you a STRONG MAN! No? Fine. Anyways, my girls just [...]

Warning: Meditation with Kids can induce more stress.
By Jane on September 1, 2010
It had a been a rough day…I was mentally and physically drained. So, I decided to take some time out to meditate, as Dick often tells me I should. Just before we were getting ready to go to soccer practice, I tell the girls (who are all dressed in their soccer gear…cleats and all)…let’s MEDITATE! [...]

Jane’s Maternity Wear: Me and my bump at the Home Depot.
By Jane on December 31, 2010
Yes, those are my non-maternity ripped skinny jeans. My legs still fit and since they’re low-rise, they rise right below my bump. Awesome possum. Oh, and you’ll be seeing this jacket on me alot. It’s the only winter coat that I have that fits my exploding upper body. Yes, it’s a Gap Maternity Jacket that [...]

A super chill Artsy New Year’s with my three kids.
By Jane on January 2, 2012
As with most New Year’s, I don’t do much but just chill at home. For some reason, I just don’t like being out when I know so many people are out there drinking and driving. I don’t think I’ve ever done it BIG for New Year’s. Maybe one year Dick and I went to downtown [...]

One of the easiest, fastest, and healthiest meals: Archer Farms Pizza & Salad. Thanks Target!
By Jane on April 17, 2010
Whenever I’m too busy (or tired or lazy or don’t feel like wanting) to cook, one of the easiest, fastest, healthiest, and yummiest meals for the family is PIZZA and SALAD. Our family’s FAVORITE is Target’s Archer Farms Brand BASIL PESTO Pizza!! It’s ORGANIC and comes on a WHEAT CRUST!

Jane trumped by a tennis player and an Eastside playah.
By Jane on July 28, 2010
After a fun-filled day of splish splash at the waterpark, I take MIA out to LADIES NIGHT at the local sports bar. You know the one where I was PROPOSED TO last time. I invite my girl June Cleaver as well, seeing that we all had such a great time together the last time we [...]

Immortal Technique…Dance with the Devil.
By Jane on February 18, 2010
This is one of my favorite underground rappers. I found him by accident many years ago and I just LOVE his stuff. He’s deep, provacative and one of the best rappers I have EVER heard. His beats are amazing perfect for his lyrics and his lyrics are thought-provoking, deep and graphic. Check out this song [...]

Gotham City: Sleeping under the stars, swimming, yoga, prepping properties, and Starbucks. Phew!
By Jane on August 9, 2010
After MIA leaves us to head to LA, it’s back to the grind for me. No more vacation. Luckily because we work for ourselves, we have the flexibilty to adjust our schedules to take time off. We still work during those times, just less. However, after the party, then there is plenty of work to [...]

Shockingly, I come to the sunny state of California to cold and rain. Cold doesn’t really mean cold. It means, cold for LA…which is only mild spring-like weather for everyone else. Today was cloudy with occassional rain, and totally blah blah blah. It feels like April showers weather and is around the same temperature. High is around 60F [...]

Introducing color #3: I stray from the brochure and go HOT.
By Jane on March 8, 2010
After painting first two colors (Hep Green and Reflecting Pool), I notice that the colors on my walls are turning out darker than the ones in the brochure. However, I’m still DETERMINED to pull this room together and make it FABULOUS for my girls. The girl’s room is low lit so that’s why the colors [...]

An attempt to see Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner at the New Moon Premier
By Jane on November 18, 2009
I am one of those Mommy’s that has read Twilight. I’m in the middle of the third book, Eclipse, and have been for the last 5 months. Too busy to finish it. However, I am a total 34-year fan of the series of books that all the teenagers all over the world are going ga-ga [...]

Happy Halloween!! You want Sponge Bob on our Pumpkin???
By Jane on October 31, 2009
Remember when we went to the Mayfield Corn Maze? Well, I picked up a good size pumpkin there and it’s been sitting there until well…now. Thelma, Louise and I finally decided that we would carve the pumpkin. A bit last minute but better than never.
The girls make sweet potato casserole and apple pie!
By Jane on November 27, 2011
The girls wanted to help cook this year. Louise wanted to make the Sweet Potato Casserole. And Thelma was making an apple pie for my girl June Cleaver and her kids. Thelma and Louise learned how to make apple pie in their co-op cooking class. Louise was then done with her sweet potato casserole so she [...]

ODE: For Intelligent Optimists. My new favorite magazine.
By Jane on September 13, 2010
The other day, I biked out to Starbucks for some ME-TIME and was reading my book, Learning from Salmon, and my new favorite magazine…introduced to me by my dear DICK. “You’re so lucky to have me. See how I expand your mind and make you so much smarter?” Ugh. He makes it so difficult for [...]

Not a fan of laptops but starting to change my mind.
By Jane on August 29, 2010
At Starbucks again. The weather these days is just perfect. I bring the hubby’s tiny laptop so that I can kill two birds with one stone (Not that I would ever intentionally try to kill a bird. Yes, I did peg that one bird but that was an accident.) I’m not a fan of laptops. [...]

Girls Only Trip – Taking Care of Business…and Dinosaurs
By Jane on September 13, 2009
Dick has been out in Cali visiting his family for two weeks and so I’m left here to take care of the things that he can’t. Usually, it’s Dick who drives four hours to Gotham City whenever we have to take care of our residential rental properties, the car business, or our commercial properties. The property that we just cleaned up is still vacant and there are two girls who are interested in looking at it. We have a friend who can show the property for us but since he has no vested interest in it, I feel it’s better that I show it myself. I decide to take the girls and hit the road. This is going to be a nice one-nighter girls-only trip!

My Big Fat Persian Family in LA
By Jane on December 13, 2009
Dick’s family just recently relocated to LA from Germany. If you’ve ever seen the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Dick’s family kinda reminds me of that. They are bold, not shy to speak their mind, always talking and talking loudly, always having a great time laughing and dancing, and eating.

Birthday party takes a disappointing turn as storm hits Gotham City.
By Jane on April 20, 2011
We get to Gotham City and surprise Thelma and Louise’s friends, who did not know that we were coming. They were quite ecstatic to all be reunited together. They had so much fun chasing each other around. THE BIRTHDAY GIRLS THE PARTY The birthday party was held at this huge SPORTSPLEX that had everything for [...]

Coming Clean…Vacuuming sucks. Literally and figuratively.
By Jane on October 7, 2009
Ok guys. I have to come clean…fo realz. I haven’t vacuumed in like two, MAYBE three, weeks. I have swept but not vacuumed. Typically, I like to vacuum weekly cause the house collects dust like crazy but this hardly happens…it’s more likely to occur when I have guests. I just avoid vacuuming like the plague. [...]
