I love movies where chicks kick ass. One of my all-time favorites is the Matrix. Trinity is da bomb! We just happened to watch it recently and my girls LOVED it, especially Thelma. The next day, I was surprised to see that a mini-Trinity was walking around our house.

Traditional Japanese Ramen in Little Tokyo.
By Jane on January 2, 2010
One of my absolute favorite meals when I used to live in Japan is the traditional, not instant, Japanese Ramen (Pronounced by the Japanese as La-men because they can’t say “r”s.). I miss this ramen SO SO MUCH that sometimes it makes me all achy inside.

Recently, we’ve been having some amazing weather for February in Metropolis. Sunny, mid 60s and beautiful. So, we moved the classroom outside, cause you can do that when you homeschool. The girls just spread out a blanket and bring their assignments outside. I’m also there in the event there are questions. And, I’m getting the [...]

Being Green. I’m not talking about the environment, I’m talking color!
By Jane on April 8, 2011
It was green day at our homeschool co-op again. Usually it falls on Saint Patrick’s Day but we had to delay it due to maintenance being done at the school. Even still, our co-op is about having fun and GREEN DAY was still on the agenda. Yay! Because my girls love to dress up, [...]

Ice Skating in LA during winter in shorts and tee shirts???
By Jane on January 13, 2010
When we were in LA, Thelma was begging me to go ice skating like EVERY DAY. She missed it SO much. Around the corner from J Lo’s place was one of those small, temporary outdoor rinks they set up over the “winter” in her area. I don’t like these because usually the ice is really [...]

J Lo, Will and Carlton visit us in Metropolis.
By Jane on May 12, 2010
My sister-in-law, J Lo and her boys, Will and Carlton, are visiting us for a couple of weeks and my girls are SUPER EXCITED. They adore their cousins. We’re still homeschooling so Will and Carlton get to come with us to the Co-op. Coming from LA, I guess we’re considered the “cun-tree” but I’d take [...]

WARNING: DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME KIDS! My dear Dick, a man of many talents…yes, hoola hooping with a beer.
Jane fails first Glucose Test and must go in for the 3-hour Test. Ugh…
By Jane on March 4, 2011
So, I failed the preliminary Glucose Test but missed the mark marginally. I scored 152 and 140 is the limit. Still, they wanted me to go in for the extended Glucose Test, which lasts THREE HOURS and fasting is required…because telling a pregnant woman to starve herself is a good thing. After delaying and forgetting [...]

More pictures of Daddy and son. Dick loves taking naps with the baby. Especially with baby on his chest. Look at the lovely men in my life. Delish!! (Yes, Dick, thank you, thank you. I’m the luckiest woman in the world. Ugh.) Benz will have a most unpleasant and hairy surprise if he tried to [...]

Louise gets sick on her Birthday. We make it up by going to Cracker Barrel.
By Jane on March 18, 2010
SUCKS TO BE SICK ON YOUR BIRTHDAY Louise has been counting down to her birthday since the beginning of the year. It’s crazy how much kids anticipate these things. Sadley, on the VERY DAY of her birthday, she had a horrible cough, high fever, complained of stomach pains and was breathing very strangely. Short pants [...]
My celebrity twin in the news: Tila Tequila STONED at a Juggalos concert.
By Jane on August 18, 2010
I’ve never been one to be mistaken for a celebrity until one day, this girl at a grocery store says to me: “Hey, you look like…like…that girl on TV…what’s her name?…” I’m clueless and just waiting for her to spit it out because no one has ever mistaken me for a celeb. “Oh! You look [...]

FASHION MADE EASY: A Black dress…or is it a shirt? One dress, three looks.
By Jane on February 24, 2010
I use dresses as shirts and big shirts as dresses often. This time, it’s actually a dress…a black one I bought in the Grungy Fashion District of Queen Street in Toronto. It’s funny because I bought it almost three years ago thinking I LOVED it but I didn’t wear it until two years later…when I [...]

By Jane on July 26, 2010
Aside from spending time in Toronto with Queenie, the gang and I also spent alot of time at my other uncle’s house in Mississauga…a suburb of Toronto but still a quite large city of 600,000 or so. Ronald and Nancy Reagan. It’s very relaxing where Ron and Nancy live. I love it! WE EAT. I’m [...]

Benz loves to stand and climb and gets quite the leg workout these days. He even goes so far as to stand on this tippy-toes. This is not ballet! Check out those swexy muscular calves! Daddy’s hoping these are soccer calves. -Jane, Mommy to Muscular Benz.

I am one of those people who are really bad at sending stuff in the mail. For some reason it’s just super difficult for me to get to the post office…even when the lines aren’t incredibly long like the other day when I had to stand in line listening to the complainer guy. Unless necessary and [...]
