You know how some people have imaginary friends growing up? Well, Thelma has a world called “Stuffed Animal World”. This is where Munck comes from…who she believes to be very real, growing and living with feelings and emotions. Munck is very much part of the family (Ducky as well.).

MUST WATCH: Man with no arms plays the piano.
By Jane on August 27, 2010
I saw this header on my Yahoo! page and was intrigued. This young man, who lost his arms in a accident when he was 10, was on China’s version of our America’s Got Talent and showed what TALENT really is. It moved me to tears as well. I REALLY need to stop complaining about my [...]

We take the kids to see the latest Karate Kid flick with Will Smith’s son, JADEN, and JACKIE CHAN. The girls have already see the originals and LOVED them. The latest rendition was actually decent and Jaden was surprisingly a very good actor! Of course, the storyline was completely predictable and almost exactly like the [...]

Do you think a cop would give this guy a ticket?
By Jane on July 21, 2010
One of the biggest pains about being in a big city is parking. Street parking is allowed, you just have to pay the meter…and remember to keep paying it. Wonder if this guy paid the meter…I don’t see a stub. More than that, I wonder if the Toronto police would give this person a ticket. [...]

Dick threatens to buy me orthopedic shoes.
By Jane on May 4, 2010
Recently, I’m hobbing around like a GIMP because I pick my foot so much that I can’t walk on it because it’s has open cuts from me pulling off my skin to ease the itching of the new skin that has grown back oh, probably hundreds of times. EXTREMELY PAINFUL! Instead, you’ll see me limping [...]

Sushi date with our girls at a more “traditional” Japanese restaurant.
By Jane on January 17, 2012
With Benz being a baby and requiring a lot of attention, we decided the girls too need some alone time with their parents. Until Benz, it was just the four of us for the longest time so Dick and I took the girls out to dinner one Friday night and left Benz home with my [...]

Visiting with the elderly neighbors on a walk to the Grandparents’ house.
By Jane on July 12, 2011
The other day we were going to go for an after-dinner walk to my parent’s house. Since their house is less than a mile away it’s a great short, casual walk. First we play a little soccer in the yard. Benz is strapped in and ready to go into a Baby Bjorn given to me [...]

I’m not sure if I told you guys this, but added to my list of “skillz” is eyebrow plucker. I tweeze my brows cause I don’t have enough to wax. Neither does my sister Lucy. This last time when Lucy was in town visiting me, I mentioned, as I often need to: “Ummmm, ju brows [...]

Warmed towels after a shower. Who wouldn’t love that?
By Jane on February 25, 2010
A few shots of my girls all wrapped up in their towels after a shower. Auntie Lucy Lu decided to spoil them one day with warmed towels from the dryer.

Salade Olivieh: Persian Chicken/Egg/Potato Salad. YUM!
By Jane on September 26, 2009
I know it’s weird to be learning how to cook Persian food from a Vietnamese woman. But, I’ve seen the Persian recipes out there, and there are NO PICTURES! So, for those young Persians who don’t know how to cook or for those who just want to try some Persian yumminess, here is a picture-filled [...]

Your Daily Osho: Retrospective Wisdom. It’s worthless! No one will listen to an insane person.
By Jane on February 1, 2011
Ohhh, this is SO hard to do…being aware when you’re at your angriest! At least it was for me. I remember the days when I would get so angry at Dick about “things” and would just lash out at him. I’d bring up everything from the past even though it wasn’t relevant, and it would [...]

Going to Lake Ontario to play cards, skip rocks, and float our boat.
By Jane on July 23, 2010
Queenie takes the gang and I to LAKESHORE. Lakeshore, I guess, is like the Santa Monica Blvd. of Toronto…kinda. It’s a long stretch of beaches, businesses, parks, and of course, the lake…Lake Ontario. Did I mention that Queenie has TERMINAL TACKY EYE? Yes, I’m making fun of my FABULOUS aunt’s fashion prowess. I love it though. It’s [...]

Spring has arrived early for us here in Metropolis so the fam and I decided to take a walk. You know this preggar needs to get her walk on. Okay, I look more pregnant than usual in this pic. I’d rather look pregnant than having a beer belly, like the way I’ve been looking (and [...]

Benz’s Bunz are the Best…a booty call I’m down for!
By Jane on December 11, 2011
Because the baby age flies by, I wanted to try to capture some of Benz’s nooks, crannies, rolls so that we could somewhat “preserve” this age. The softest part of his skin is his back and stomach. It’s so velvety soft. One of my favorite parts of his body is his neck. You may even [...]

Pics of Mommy & Benz…I DO exist!
By Jane on July 9, 2011
I guess if I’m going to have any pics with my baby, I’m going to have to take them myself. Except this one, this was taken by my lovely Thelma. Thank you honey! I kiss and love on my kids a million times a day. This little guy gets tons of smooches. Check out that [...]

Family Arts and Crafts: The flower series.
By Jane on February 19, 2010
A couple of years ago I started “Family Arts and Crafts Time” for our family. I would go to the dollar store and buy something we could paint and then we would paint them at home one night as a fun family project. We have a few completed projects: The Birdhouse Series. The Seashell Series. [...]
