The auction is very skimpy on cars today, which is odd because the lot is usually full. Consequently we don’t have many cars to look at. We take a beautiful Z4 for a spin because I really miss my roadster but it’s dangerous for me to have such a car. I like to bring out the [...]

My girls found a souvenir of one of my greatest accomplishments while in high school. I received this button for successfully finishing the St. Jude Walk-a-thon twenty years ago when I was like 15 years old. The walk was a 26 12 mile (Apologies: Lapse in memory. It was 12 miles.) walk around downtown Metropolis. Some [...]

Homemade chicken noodle soup to stay warm in this cold weather.
By Jane on January 16, 2010
My kids love chicken noodle soup, especially when it’s cold. You don’t need a ton of ingredients and can easily throw it together. This time, I just used what I had. Since I had some chicken thighs in the fridge, I used that to make the broth. It’s fattier, but unfortunately, that’s the fat that makes it tasty.

My girls built another “house” in my parent’s living room the other day. This is not uncommon if not a weekly thing. I love that my parents don’t have a house where they’re afraid to let the girls touch anything. They get to unleash their creativity here alot. Today, it’s a “house” that they plan [...]

My Thelma is TEN this year. Ten years old! I can’t believe it’s been ten years already. This year, instead of a party, Thelma, Louise and their best friend, Kristen Stewart, celebrated not only Thelma’s Birthday, but Kristen’s birthday as well cause it was not too long ago. Kristen came over to spend the night [...]

Pics of Mommy & Benz…I DO exist!
By Jane on July 9, 2011
I guess if I’m going to have any pics with my baby, I’m going to have to take them myself. Except this one, this was taken by my lovely Thelma. Thank you honey! I kiss and love on my kids a million times a day. This little guy gets tons of smooches. Check out that [...]

Unless I take pictures of myself, I would never have any. Now you know why most pictures of me have one arm extended and half of my face is lopped off. Of course, Dick says it’s because my head is so big and only half of it would fit on the camera. Such the comedian [...]

You know how they say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, there may be times where I just let the pictures do all the talking. Enjoy! -Jane, Grillin’ and Chillin’.

Jane refuses to be FORCED to pay the Smartphone data package and opts for a NON-SMART phone.
By Jane on March 14, 2011
So, I’ve had my LG phone for about 2 years now and I HATE it! The touch screen sucks and I fat finger and call random people all the time. Dick has been bugging me to get a new phone…imagine that! A husband who has to beg his wife to buy something new! Well, I [...]

Jihad Jane? Definitely a case of mistaken identity here.
By Jane on March 10, 2010
Apparently this JANE was conspiring with terrorists and was hired to kill that controversial Swedish political cartoonist Lars Vilks. JIHAD JANE. I don’t know anything about him or her but reading “Jihad Jane” on CNN.com completely caught my eye. Click HERE for the full story. -Jane, Not Jihad Jane.

As I said, while we were working, the girls were playing. Thelma especially loves to swing really high and then jump off. Louise, not so much. She is much more cautious. -Jane, Mother to Swinging/Jumping Girls.

My eclectic sister-in-law finds herself a beautiful African dress at Ross.
By Jane on September 10, 2011
After coffee, we stopped by Ross as we were walking home. My sister-in-law has a great eclectic style. She spots these African dresses and just loved them. She decides to try them on right there in the aisle instead of the changing room. Sometimes one is just too lazy to go to the changing room. [...]

A Hike Thru Runyon Canyon in Flip Flops
By Jane on December 20, 2009
Lucy doesn’t live too far from Runyon Canyon. It’s a fantastic place to go hiking to see some spectacular views of LA. It’s also a popular spot for celebrities to go walk their dogs and stay fit. We get started and walk up this hill. Come to find out, that’s not the starting point.

I Hate Fucking Making the Juice!
By Jane on August 31, 2009
Recently I’ve reverted to dropping f-bombs like the old days of working in manufacturing car plants. Well, maybe not as bad as before, but I find great satisfaction in using this word to express myself. I know it’s considered vulgar and profane but it’s so FUCKING expressive. It gives just the uummph I want for emphasis!

What is this “Mom” businesses? I’m MOMMY!!!
By Jane on March 5, 2010
Eight seems to be the year that your kids start transitioning into a more grown up phase in their life. Thelma seems more mature and she even tells me all the time: “I really love being eight.” I can’t believe she’s eight already. Just a couple of weeks ago, my 8-year old started calling me [...]
