Kenny Chesney premiering his 3-D movie in Metropolis?
By Jane on April 14, 2010
The girls wanted to go biking so we were heading out to Starbucks and Target. By sheer coincidence, as we were coming up to the parking lot, we see cops everywhere. Looks like another premiere. Remember the last time the TWILIGHT cast was here in our little town of Metropolis. So, we were curious as to [...]

Oscar roasting on an open fire.
By Jane on December 17, 2009
I had a little bit of fun with Oscar today. It’s a wonder why he’s not that fond of me.

Our homeschool co-op was the host this year for the Homeschool Prom of Metropolis. The venue was the ballroom of one of the hotels in downtown Metropolis. Of course, there was a dance floor. There was even food at the prom. I assure you we had no food at my high school Prom! The theme [...]

Christmas is over but it’s still nice to come home to this kind of view. Lucy and Martha have such a cozy place. I could maybe live here so long as I don’t have to drive too much. -Jane, House-sitter

French Country Chic: Cheese, Crackers, Hummus, Red Wine and Fruit.
By Jane on February 8, 2011
The girls and I go over to my chica June Cleaver’s house the other day to hang out and check out the yummy spread she has ready. How lovely is that?!?!? If you’re having guests over, you can’t go wrong with having some red wine, Boursin cheese and crackers, hummus and bagel chips, grapes, strawberries, [...]

Like brother, like sister. Watermelon improperness…some things never change.
By Jane on September 8, 2011
Looks like someone STILL has not read my post on how to PROPERLY cut a watermelon. Some things never change. For sure, this is not the method. Seriously! Time for damage control. I had to take the knife away from my dear sister-in-law before butchered this watermelon any further. Improper watermelon cutting and eating run [...]

Jane: Vomit projectile victim two times in the last week.
By Jane on February 12, 2010
It seems my girls have both somehow contracted the 24-hour stomach virus but within a week span. First it was Thelma while we were in Gotham City cleaning up our property.

Thelma wants to do all the sports so now we’re playing VOLLEYBALL! We signed her up for a local girls team and she absolutely LOVES it! It’s such a great team sport. Girls Volleyball is popular in our area because our Ladies College team is ranked #1!! I don’t know anything about volleyball other than what [...]

Starbucks Moment: Mommy needs her ME-TIME!!
By Jane on July 23, 2011
This Jane is in need of some serious ME-TIME. I’m not the kind of person that can’t be alone. I love my time ALONE. Some people feel like losers sitting alone at a table. I know I used to. Especially if you’re in high school and you’re sitting somewhere alone…you’re a loser. No, these days, [...]

The girls give Daddy a hot stone massage.
By Jane on October 9, 2010
If I haven’t mentioned it already, we have the sweetest and most considerate girls ever! Right before Dick was getting ready to go to Gotham City for business, the girls decided to give him a massage in anticipation of all the HARD WORK he has to do while he’s gone. Thelma takes one of my [...]

Dogs: The latest accessory and social magnet.
By Jane on May 19, 2010
People have dogs for companionship but lately, dogs have become kind of like an accessory and social magnet. Right beside the fountain of geysers where we were splashing around in the water is a field where many people like to come to kick around a ball, throw a frisbee, toss a baseball, or many people [...]

I Hop, U Hop, We All Hop for IHOP!
By Jane on August 30, 2009
We only eat out occasionally when I’m lazy to cook or there’s a special occasion. Today was a lazy day so we decide to take a bike ride out the INTERNATIONAL HOUSE OF PANCAKES for breakfast. Now, I’m a mediocre, well almost novice bike rider. My limited riding in my childhood involved a used Pink Panther bike my mom Fanny Mae bought at a garage sale. My sister and I shared it and we took turns riding up and down my neighbor’s 200ft driveway. Back and forth and back and forth and back and forth. You get the picture. Fanny Mae didn’t allow us to ride on the neighborhood streets for fear that we would get hit by cars.

Thelma and Louise get dressed to go to “work” in fashion..
By Jane on May 3, 2010
Thelma and Louise were playing pretend the other day that they were both going to work. “What do people wear when they go to work?” “It depends on where you work. Where do you guys work?” “We work in FASHION. Like in the Devil Wears Prada.” “Well, then just put together whatever you think is [...]

Headband Siblings. He works hard for his money!
By Jane on January 15, 2012
Flashback to Flashdance and the days of headbands. My girls never cease to want to embarrass and torture their little bro. He works hard for his money! So hard for it honey! He works hard for his money so you better treat him right! Poor thing. The lighting in this picture is not flattering for Benz’s [...]

Road tripping in the conversion van.
By Jane on January 23, 2012
With our asses dragging big time due to being plagued with this stomach virus, we’re trying to pack up all the crap we need to go to Gotham City. There’s always so much stuff but now that we have the baby, there’s SO much more…and baby’s stuff is always so damn big and bulky. That’s why [...]

Trying to cool off my temper. Take the kids to a fantastic park walking distance from our house.
By Jane on June 17, 2010
After I show the house, the sun has gone down and the weather is tolerable. The girls and I decide to walk to the park. This is the only smile I’m going to be able to muster today and it’s only because I’m with the girls and Dick is not around! THE PARK Our house [...]

I know it’s weird to be learning how to cook Persian food from a Vietnamese woman. But, I’ve seen the Persian recipes out there, and there are NO PICTURES! So, for those young Persians who don’t know how to cook or for those who just want to try some Persian yumminess, here is a picture-filled [...]
