Potty training has been somewhat successful with Oscar except he doesn’t seem to poop. At one point, Lucy was so concerned about Oscar’s bowel movements that she set up her computer’s camera to broadcast a live video stream of him while she wasn’t home. She wanted to know when he would poop, observe what noises or hints does he give, does he scratch the door, yelp? because he didn’t seem to be doin’ his #2 thang, and wanted to be able to check it online via her iPhone. Yes, this is standard and totally normal behavior for a new parent.

The big question was and still is… “WHEN IS  OSCAR GOING TO POOP?”.

I asked Lucy to send the link to me so you all could watch for this grandios moment as well but alas, the link would never work for me. Sorry!! I tried.

I ask Lucy if she’s comfortable riding my bike with Oscar. Lucy is not a very proficient bicycle rider, thinks about it for a minute and then convinces herself that she’ll be fine.

Due to where we’re situated, one has to first manage the hill. For an experienced rider, this is a great fast, freeing ride downhill. For one NOT so experienced, it can be pretty frightening.

Lucy starts off a little wobbly. Watch the posture!

Be extra careful when you get to the poles!

Lucy decides against braving the slope of death. After all, she has to consider Oscar’s safety!

These three latino landscapers are wondering what this shi-shi-froo-froo chica is doing with her perdo in a sack-o on a bicycle-yo! I think they’re secretly making fun of her in Spanish.

Whew! We made it to bottom alive Oscar.

And they’re off! Oscar loves the fresh air blowing in his face.

Louise is joining us as well.

Oscar is such a good boy. He stays in the basket. My last dog would try to jump down.

Oscar has a hard enough time with the hair in his eyes but here he has to also try to manage his hoodie!

As we’re doing down the street, I hear Lucy yelling,

“No! Oscar no! Not our brakes! Do not chew on our brakes!”

Ok, we’re off again. You can relax a little Lucy.

It’s  a tiny bit chilly and since Oscar is from LA, he’s not used to this 60s weather.

We love to play cards when we’re at Starbucks. Today, we are playing Crazy 8′s.

Daddy drops off Thelma after they had  breakfast together at IHOP.

(“Veener” is another one of mine and Lucy’s play on words. It stands for “winner” except pronounced “vee-ner” and is a double pun for weiner/winner.

Louise could never play poker. You can see everything on her face. Almost last card ey??

Awwww defeated!

Look at how much satisfaction Louise’s auntie gets from beating a, obviously dissappointed 6 -yr old. For shame.
