Dick has to go to Gotham City to pick up another car. He decides at the last minute to do this and so airfare is ridiculous. With no other options, he decides to brave the Greyhound. I am fearful because just last year, I read this horrible story about an innocent bus-riding young man who gets [...]

Making room for the twin beds.
By Jane on December 30, 2010
Now that I’ve gotten past stepping in crap while picking up the mattresses for the girls, we are ready to put the frames together. However first, we need to clear out their room! MOVING OUT THE BED We start by taking their old bed out of the room and discover that the headboard will not [...]

I got a good forward the other day…and by “good forward” I mean it wasn’t too long or wordy, had lots of pictures and made me smile. Anything longer than and page with lots of words and no pictures will SURELY not be read if you forward it to me. This particular forward was full [...]

Going to ballet picnic but end up on paddleboats.
By Jane on April 21, 2010
The girls’ dance school was having a parent appreciation picnic at the park so the entire family headed to the park. There were hotdogs, drinks, popcorn and activities for the kids, like bowling, face painting, etc. We eat, hang out a little, then decided to walk around the park, let the kids play on the playground.

These heels were not made for walking. They were made for BIKING.
By Jane on May 27, 2010
Over the weekend, Dick and I decided to take J Lo out for some drinks. We picked the Wild Wings Cafe because it has a great outdoor patio/bar area overlooking a pond and the weather is just SPECTACULAR and perfect for chilling outside. Parking is a bitch at this place (see all the cars wrapped [...]

The girls put on Make-up for Mommy.
By Jane on January 19, 2010
Like most girls, mine love to play with make-up. I don’t really like for them to wear make-up because I think it looks silly on kids…and only for rare occasions. They are so beautiful naturally. Instead, I let them put some on me the other day for fun. Tres chic no? -Jane, Made-over by her [...]

Yet Another Roadtrip: Picking up Daddy & Visiting with Friends
By Jane on November 18, 2009
It’s time to retreive Daddy since he’s been gone for over 2 weeks in LaLa Land (A.k.a. LA, Los Angeles). We found a great reasonable flight that is direct but it’s a 3 hour drive to this airport. Dick’s flight is supposed to arrive at 3:30pm and so I’m rushing to hit the road after Mother-Daughter [...]

Enjoying the warm weather: A pier and simple park with a great lake view.
By Jane on February 23, 2010
Since the weather was around 60F and sunny, we took full advantage. Along with my parents Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac (not pictured because they’re walking laps around the track), we head with the kids and the dogs to a simple yet beautiful park and a most fabulous PIER. I love piers!

My poor tree. Although I’m somewhat relieved that our tree won’t be smooshing us at night if there is a storm, it’s still sad that our tree is no longer with us. We have enjoyed you greatly, TREE! Sniff sniff. -Jane, Tree Lover

Louise and I were admiring our CHERRY TREE that is in FULL BLOSSOM. We thought we would enjoy it a bit since this will probably only last a few days.

MUSHED AND STRANDED on the Interstate: The first time I ever ran out of gas.
By Jane on January 25, 2011
The first time I ever ran out of gas was 11 years ago when I was living in Toronto. I was on my way to work at the Ford F150 plant and out of nowhere, my car starts to slow down on the QEW (An interstate in Toronto). At the time, I owned a brand [...]

Suburbialites take the family downtown for fun with fountain geysers.
By Jane on May 18, 2010
We had a scorching hot day the other day so we took the kids downtown to play in the water fountain. This is an interactive fountain that has POWERFUL geysers. So powerful that I’m told a kid sat on one of the geysers when it was at it’s most powerful and had his intestines all [...]

Venturing out to the grocery store in the snow.
By Jane on January 6, 2011
We needed a few things from the grocery store, anticipating that we might get snowed in. With the way the snow was coming down, it was a possibility. Dick wanted to take the Caddie. He loves that car. Louise volunteers to dust off the snow on the car. The drive out of our neighborhood. Of [...]

Jihad Jane? Definitely a case of mistaken identity here.
By Jane on March 10, 2010
Apparently this JANE was conspiring with terrorists and was hired to kill that controversial Swedish political cartoonist Lars Vilks. JIHAD JANE. I don’t know anything about him or her but reading “Jihad Jane” on CNN.com completely caught my eye. Click HERE for the full story. -Jane, Not Jihad Jane.

FINALLY! The finished painted techno-colored girls room!
By Jane on March 11, 2010
My project of painting the girls room is complete! (Well, I’m still waiting on Fanny Mae to get me the pillows.) I know it’s drawn out to a few days but that’s just how these things go. Decorating or redecorating, takes time. THELMA & LOUISE’S ROOM The girls share a queen platform bed that I [...]

Bike trailer still holding up.
By Jane on September 30, 2010
We bought this bike trailer for the girls when they were like 2-3 years old. Here Dick is showing off that he can bike with NO HANDS, rubbing it in because I can’t. I am only proficient enough that I can now let go of one hand. But, even at ages 7 and 8, the [...]

I hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend. I know, I’ve been slacking at blogging but me SEESTER was in town. We just chilled and relaxed the whole weekend with the family…very low key. Sometimes, that’s just what one needs. Of course, now comes all the work. -Jane. Chilled and Relaxed.

Jane’s Maternity Wear: Little black dress and leg warmers.
By Jane on March 4, 2011
So, I’m still trying to make use of my current closet and have been lazy to go out and look for more maternity clothes. On this day, I decided to wear some leggings and my summer sleeveless & black-less black dress, which looks like this… These pictures are from a very crazy (but fun…except not [...]
