Wonderworks calls themselves an “Amusement Park for the Mind” that offers things such as an Inversion Tunnel (My kids freaked out and refused to go thru this.), a Bubble Lab, Optical Illusion Art, a Light and Sound Zone, Disaster Simulators, and tons more! I’m not sure how many different pics I can get at Starbucks but I took this yesterday as the rain was rolling in. It just started sprinkling so I had to move tables to take cover. Yes, like a die-hard golfer, I will endure rain. My favorite are thunderstorms with the sun still peeping thru. [...]

JANE AND LUCY LOVE FOOD Ok, so I noticed that alot of my posts are regarding food. Yes, this Jane and Lucy love food and we love to eat. Please refrain from any comments, Dick. Dick is somewhere laughing saying, “Yeah they do!”. Whatever! However, I think Lucy loves food even more than I do. [...]

A tour of Lucy’s West Hollywood pad.
By Jane on March 14, 2012
So here’s a small tour of my sister’s place. It’s a one bedroom, one bathroom condo that is part of a house that has been turned into a duplex. When you first entire the walkway to her place, you are greeted by a serene sitting area surrounded by greenery and palms. My sister has her [...]

Mountain of Laundry = Housework = Insanity.
By Jane on August 28, 2010
I’m not sure how it got to this point…well, yes I do. I just haven’t done it. Folded them that is. They’re clean. I dislike doing laundry very much. And, I have no qualms about sending my family out in public in wrinkled clothes. I may be anal about other things…laundry is not one of [...]

Jane is Photographer for a Garden Surprise Birthday Party fit for the Royals.
By Jane on April 15, 2012
I was recently hired to be the photographer for a Garden Party that was a surprise birthday party for my friend’s mom’s 60th birthday celebration and what a spectacular party it was! My friend, Kate Middleton, has a mad sense of interior design style and turns out, she is also an amazing event planner. Combine the two [...]

This just might be the thing to put me in labor! A Mini Cooper S (for Sport). Totally loaded and with a white hardtop and white racing stripe. The racing stripe is such a must on the Cooper! Remember how I told you I like the VW Bugs but I prefer a Mini. Well, after [...]

Since it’s so nice outside these days, it’s HAMMER HAMMOCK time! Fall weather is perfect for hanging out on the hammock. It’s not hot or humid and there are no mosquitos buzzing around, ready to suck your blood dry. Seriously, five minutes in the summer and I’ve got 10 mosquito bites. People will say, “Oh, it’s [...]

The Royal Vietnamese: Lucy, Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac.
By Jane on January 7, 2011
Lucy sent me pics of her and my parents visiting a Royal Palace in Vietnam where they got all dressed up in the Royal Garb from back in the day. They looked so cute I just had to edit them and post them for you to see. I get to live vicariously through them you [...]

Jane: Victim of Forever Sharp Knife
By Jane on June 19, 2010
Around 7 years ago or so, I was DUPED into buying one of those FOREVER SHARP knives while shopping at Sam’s Club. I was minding my own business, shopping around, when I hear over the intercom… “Attention all shoppers. We will be giving away a FREE pearing knife in aisle [whatever aisle-like I remember]. Don’t miss [...]

Benz explodes from being in the 5th to the 70th percentile in two months!
By Jane on August 1, 2011
It’s time for Benz’s two-month doctor’s visit and I’m running late. Surprise, surprise. I didn’t even remember that I had the appointment for that day when I woke up in the morning. I had just randomly called to see when my appointment would be, thinking it was in a few days, but the receptionist advised [...]

Green Tea, Apple Cinnamon Cake & Art Time
By Jane on November 7, 2009
The girls recently came across a drawing book that I had when I was a kid, saved by my dear Mom (she keeps EVERYTHING). Inspired, they wanted to learn how to draw like Mommy. I told them it just takes practice and explained some basics. Try not to draw from memory (which usually turns out [...]

Our homeschool co-op was the host this year for the Homeschool Prom of Metropolis. The venue was the ballroom of one of the hotels in downtown Metropolis. Of course, there was a dance floor. There was even food at the prom. I assure you we had no food at my high school Prom! The theme [...]

How much do you really need to be rich?
By Jane on August 11, 2010
That was the title of the article I came across this article on the homepage of Yahoo. You probably saw it too if Yahoo is your homepage. Click HERE for the article if you have’t seen it. However, before reading the article, I already knew the answer. Yes, I’m Mz. Smarty-pants Jane. “Rich” is not [...]

I always pictured car salesmen to be fast-talking, wheelin’ and dealin’ men. Never in my WILDEST dreams did I think that I would be among them because I’m not the kind of person that likes to sell anything. I suck at it and it does not come naturally for me like it does for DICK. I don’t like having to convince anyone to buy anything. So when I started doing business for myself, I learned that EVERYTHING is sales. Shit! The one thing I can’t stand to do! One constantly has to sell themselves, whether it be their idea, their product or themselves. Sales is a must-have skill that everyone needs to learn but I must have fallen asleep in class again. (I’m infamous for my amazing ability to fall asleep anywhere and within a few seconds.)
