I know there are people who are out there that are like, “Homeschool?!?!? How do your kids get the “social” part of school?” My response is…”Besides letting the kids out of their cage for about an hour a day to stretch out their legs, we occasionally take them to the local grocery store to see how other humans interact.”

We venture out of our bubble and head to the MALL…it’s only been two years!
By Jane on March 7, 2011
I never go to the mall because everything I NEED is at the back of my house. So, I hardly ever leave “the bubble” and the mall is OUTSIDE “the bubble”. Plus, there’s nothing I NEED at the mall. Lots of stuff I WANT but not really NEED. And, if I am actually allow for time to spend at [...]

“Sherlock and Watson” on the search for a Wasp Nest.
By Jane on November 19, 2009
In the last few days we’ve killed about 3 wasps in our house. Wasps, not bees. Their sting is much worse, or so I’ve heard, but I’m not wanting to find out first hand. I’m not scared of bees at all but for some reason, wasps, hornets or yellow jackets seem way angrier and scarier. [...]

Your daily Benz: Planking baby.
By Jane on July 22, 2011
Planking is this new crazy trend where people will lay stiff like a board (plank) and take pictures of it in random places. It’s all the rage and the new “cool” thing to do on Facebook. Plank and post to FB. Planking baby Benz!! For my friend who loves to plank. “Mommy why do you [...]

So while I was hanging with my girl having coffee, her “man friend” calls. “Man friend” was asking her what she was doing. Confuscia says…(matter-of-factly) “We hangin’ out here at the Starbucks lookin’ like a million bucks.” LOL. -Jane, Friend to Confuscia.

Remember how I told you I fall asleep easily? (No? Click HERE.) Yet another movie that I’ve only seen the first half of. Victim to falling asleep while watching a movie at home…again. When I’m physically at the movie theater I can usually stay awake. I’ve only fallen asleep during 2-3 of those. Anyone else [...]

Teenage years are back, and not in a good way.
By Jane on July 29, 2010
Just when I thought the days of acne and zits were long behind me, a substantial one pops up on my face. It seems that around the same time I am possessed by the evil monthly demon, the demon rears its ugly little head, reminding me of what is to come. There’s nothing worse or [...]

Lucy: Sous Chef. We’re making a Persian Chicken Spinach Dish.
By Jane on December 18, 2009
I’m hanging out with my dear sister at her place. She invited me over for dinner and would like for me to cook her some Persian food. I decide to make a Chicken Spinach dish (Aloo Esfinage only without Aloo). We’re all starving because it’s already dinner time and we’re just getting started. I declare [...]

Wanting a NATURAL child birth and research on the risks/side effects of inductions.
By Jane on May 24, 2011
Before I get to our birthing story, some background as to how we wanted to see this birth through. MY FIRST TWO PREGNANCIES Being pregnant nearly eight years after my last child and ten since the birth of my first…it was like starting over again. However, this time around I feel a little old and [...]

Ducky got to tag along the other day when we went biking. She’s sporting a HOMEMADE helmet utilizing a plastic bowl and strapped on with my bandana. Safety first people. Safety first. -Jane, Grandmother to Ducky.

Breast Feeding: The pros and cons of having watermelons for boobs.
By Jane on June 29, 2011
I love nursing. Aside from it being the best milk for your child (unless you’re downing shots of tequila daily or shooting up heroine), for someone who is lazy like me, it’s perfect except for two three things…they’re too huge, having to wear a bra 24/7 and fatty armpits. Yes, fat armpits! WATERMELONS One being [...]

Jane fails first Glucose Test and must go in for the 3-hour Test. Ugh…
By Jane on March 4, 2011
So, I failed the preliminary Glucose Test but missed the mark marginally. I scored 152 and 140 is the limit. Still, they wanted me to go in for the extended Glucose Test, which lasts THREE HOURS and fasting is required…because telling a pregnant woman to starve herself is a good thing. After delaying and forgetting [...]

Late Night Kitchen Cleaning and Laundry Folding.
By Jane on November 25, 2009
I’m a late night person. I have a very strange schedule these days. Working late into the night is one of my all time ultimate favorite times to work because it’s ABSOLUTELY quiet. No cars, no kids screaming “Mommy, Mommy”. I can get alot done at night. 12:30 AM KITCHEN CLEANING. It’s 12:30 AM and [...]

My Dick Costs a Late Night Fee…

If you have seen Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay, then you know this song. It’s got a fantastic beat and it’s HIGHlarious. When I listen to music, most of the time I’m paying attention to the beats. So… WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! It contains adult material so if you are easily offended, do NOT [...]

No, it’s not one of Michael Jackson’s kids. It’s Thelma in a mask.
By Jane on November 4, 2009
This is a mask Lucy Lu gave me to wear for my Goth birthday party. Thelma is going to be using it for her costume for her skating competition coming up. She liked it so much she decided she was going to wear it out while we’re running errands.

Our favorite library, the bestest kid’s library evah!
By Jane on November 30, 2010
Alright, I know I’m jumping around in time with going to Gotham City to Thanksgiving to being pregnant but now I’d like to take us back to Gotham City. Sorry, being pregnant makes you all sorts of scatterbrained. What I love about being in the city is all the culture and arts that are offered within walking distance. Within minutes [...]

Thelma brings in some smoothies to my office while I was here working. I thought she had made me something to drink and was bringing it to me. How thoughtful! Spending our last day walking around uptown.
By Jane on April 23, 2011
We wanted to spend our last day in Gotham City together with the kids. Our internal clocks seem to always be a few hours off from everyone else so as it was almost lunchtime for most people, we were only ready for breakfast. So, we walk uptown to this boutique hotel that has a restaurant next [...]

Mother’s Day Start: Breakfast at McD’s and a Flat Tire.
By Jane on May 12, 2011
Mother’s Day started off with breakfast with my girls. Mommy was craving some McDonald’s…which would come as a surprise to those who know me but pregnancy just brings about the incredible need for JUNK! Dick was still in bed so I took the girls and we headed to McD’s for breakfast. (In Dick’s defense, he [...]
