Since the girls fell asleep while I was finishing up our Sponge Bob pumpkin, they were surprised to see that Mommy didn’t screw up the carving job. I’m glad my “customers” were happy with their order.

Thelma and Louise get dressed to go to “work” in fashion..
By Jane on May 3, 2010
Thelma and Louise were playing pretend the other day that they were both going to work. “What do people wear when they go to work?” “It depends on where you work. Where do you guys work?” “We work in FASHION. Like in the Devil Wears Prada.” “Well, then just put together whatever you think is [...]

The girls and I are driving through the Midwest to get to Toronto!!
By Jane on July 6, 2010
You remember my Aussie cousin, MIA, who was touring around Mexico and Central America? Well she’s swinging back around to visit us one more time before she’s off to return to her home on the other side of the world. Since the last time I saw her before this was 20 years ago, I don’t want to [...]

The girls enjoy the fall leaves.
By Jane on October 29, 2010
The girls are superexcited that there are enough leaves on the ground at CHEZ FANNY & FREDDIE (the grandparents) so they can make a HUGE pile and jump in it. Thelma is using some kind of rod to push the leaves together. I guess it’s working okay.

Trick-or-Treat with the Witch, the Zombie, and the Spy Girl.
By Jane on November 4, 2010
This year, the girls wanted to go trick-or-treating with their best friend, Kristen Stewart. So, June Cleaver and I decided to get our gangs together and go around her neighborhood. Witch Girl. Zombie Girl. Spy Girl. June has a great face paint kit and is giving the girls the final touches that really make their [...]

I’m not sure why Thelma persists to torture her little brother by putting him in girls clothes, or now, a long black-haired wig. Such the jokester she is. It’s not that she even means him any malice…she adores him. And it’s not that she wants a little sister. I think she just thinks it’s hilarious [...]

Pier 1 Fun Lucy and Fanny Mae.
By Jane on September 16, 2010
I love Pier 1. I love all the accessories there. Here are some pics of us browsing around. Comfy Oscar? I would be too! Blinged out EYELASH CURLERS! Really??? I used to use eyelash curlers but I’m so afraid I’m going to rip them ALL out that I only wear mascara now. Plus they curl [...]

The kids want some new furniture…
By Jane on December 14, 2009
This nouveau furniture store is right around the corner from Lucy’s house. The kids love it but somehow, I just don’t think the style suites my house. I do love the white couch and chair that is behind Thelma.

Impatience at the Post Office. What do you expect?
By Jane on December 18, 2010
I had to go to the post office to mail off some photos for a client. It was Friday, around 2:30pm and as you can imagine, it was JAM PACKED. The line has extended far beyond the other side of the door to actually gets you within visibility of the agents that work behind the [...]

By Jane on December 17, 2009
I’m at my Lucy Lu’s house that she shares with her roommate, Martha Stewart, in West Hollywood. Lucy and Martha have been working hard to add some Christmas Spirit into their house and it looks fabulous. They hung the stockings.

Our favorite library, the bestest kid’s library evah!
By Jane on November 30, 2010
Alright, I know I’m jumping around in time with going to Gotham City to Thanksgiving to being pregnant but now I’d like to take us back to Gotham City. Sorry, being pregnant makes you all sorts of scatterbrained. What I love about being in the city is all the culture and arts that are offered within walking distance. Within minutes [...]

One thing that I ALWAYS do when I’m in Toronto is go eat DIM SUM. Actually, we go to this great DIM SUM place in Mississauga. It’s Ron’s favorite. Ron comes here so often that the management knows him AND can even speak some Chinese to them. There are many Vietnamese who can speak Chinese and [...]

Article: “Why Chinese Mothers are Superior”: Words from a militant mom who is full of crap.
By Jane on January 14, 2011
One of my dear friends sent me a link to an article about “Why Chinese Mothers are Superior”. Already from the title, I knew what this article was going to be about but I read it anyway to see what kind of crap was going to come spewing out of this woman. She starts out [...]

At the rate I’m going, and especially after nursing, I’m sure I’ll be needing a contraption similar to this. Which then reminds me of a song that my dear loving sister, Lucy Lu, adapted just for me. Some of you may know the song, Do your EARS Hang Low, the kiddie song. Except, where the word EARS [...]

Suburbialites take the family downtown for fun with fountain geysers.
By Jane on May 18, 2010
We had a scorching hot day the other day so we took the kids downtown to play in the water fountain. This is an interactive fountain that has POWERFUL geysers. So powerful that I’m told a kid sat on one of the geysers when it was at it’s most powerful and had his intestines all [...]

Your daily Benz: Notorious B(enz).I.G.
By Jane on August 12, 2011
Sweet Benz was chillaxing in the pool in a floating device that my friend showed me he had for his baby. I got it at Target for $20 and it even has a cover that snaps in to shade him but I haven’t used it yet. We decided we needed a floaty because holding [...]
