We decide to take a ride out to one of my new favorite hangouts…Urth Cafe. I’m using Ricky’s bike.

You know me, I like to take pictures but as we get going, I notice that Lucy is WAY ahead of me. I tell her to wait so I can get some pics. However, because Lucy is not very proficient at biking, she refuses to stop.

As we are going along, Lucy is darting in front of traffic, not following the WALK / DON’T WALK signs for the pedestrians. She feels she should follow the rules of the road as if she were a car. When the sign is flashing “DON’T WALK” she continues on. Um, you are not in a car. You are in a measly bicycle that could easily get crushed by a car.

Lucy is crossing the street when there is no crosswalk and nearly gets herself flattened by these luxury cars driving around West Hollywood. I fear she is really going to get herself hurt one of these days and recommend that she invest in a helmut. I, too, may hurt myself on this bike because I’m laughing so hard at Lucy.

Well, I have no pictures of the ride there because she really did not stop.

We finally get to Urth.

I’m extremely thirsty so I get an ice tea instead of my usual coffee.

Looks like someone is not looking forward to the bike ride home…LOL

Louise wanted desperately to sit on this chair but as I told her, even if I lifted her, we would definitely not be able to reach it. Sorry!

This is the same lamp as the one below. Deceiving isn’t it?

I tell Louise to give me the peace sign with her hands. She puts up three fingers after looking at the the symbol for the peace. Makes sense when you think about it. Why do we only use two fingers???

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Urth Cafe’s coffee. Besides that it’s organic, it’s strong, like European coffee. I got the Italian Cappuccino (versus the American Cappuccino) with the strong, rather than mild coffee beans.

Every cup of coffee comes with a pretty design made from the foam on top. So pretty! It looked so yummy Louise wanted to taste it.

Yes honey, the pretty bird makes it look tasty but looks can be deceiving. Sometimes one has to learn the hard way.

I ordered the smoked salmon with bagel dish. Yum!!!

Oh, and the pumpkin pie looked so delicious that I had to get a slice. I’m SO glad I did because it was super moist and HEAVENLY!!

This time looks are not deceiving…

And Louise thoroughly enjoyed this pie.

Louise is looking at this fish below, creatively made from a lobster’s tail. Cute!

All the houses around West Hollywood are different and each has it’s own unique curb appeal.  I like all the different gates and doors so I tell Louise to stand in front of them. But she just walks up to the top step and plops herself down for a pic.

And that concludes our wonderful walk for breakfast.
