A few weeks ago, Dick and I attended the wedding of some dear friends of mine, Tiffany and Patrick. You may remember Tiffany from the Bruchetta Recipe Post. She’s the founder of GoBigHead.com. The ceremony was touching, the wedding decor was gorgeous, and the Bride was glowing.

The Victorian Table gets the HOT treatment and June Cleaver suggests I trim it up!
By Jane on March 8, 2010
The room still needs more umph. BOLD is BEAUTIFUL. THE VICTORIAN TABLE I remember that I have an old ornate, although intricately molded plastic, table that looks like it was from the LOUIS XIV days. It’s in my shed collecting dust because two of it’s legs have fallen off. I kept it all this time [...]

Wrestling over Ben & Jerry’s Cherry Garcia
By Jane on January 19, 2010
My favorite ice cream is Ben and Jerry’s Cherry Garcia. It’s so perfect with bits of chocolate chips and red cherries. YYUUUUMMM! Well, I made Dick go for a late night run for some the other night. No, I’m not pregnant. I just really wanted some Cherry Garcia! Dick obviously wanted some too otherwise he [...]
The Grandparents lovin’ on Benz when they can.
By Jane on June 13, 2011
With the girls asking to hold Benz all the time, my parents will occasionally also get an opportunity to love on Benz. My dad is so cute when it comes to babies. He could sit and stare at them forever. This little guy is getting way spoiled. Something about cuddling and napping [...]

The girls pretending to be preggars, like their Mommy. PREGGAR LOUISE Oh and the hat and arm warmers are from Thelma and Louise’s best friend, Kristen Stewart. They’re from a company called Litte Miss Matched, where everything “matches” but is not exactly alike. See how the stripes are different colors on the hands? Aren’t they [...]

As I said, while we were working, the girls were playing. Thelma especially loves to swing really high and then jump off. Louise, not so much. She is much more cautious. -Jane, Mother to Swinging/Jumping Girls.

I’ve always loved cutting hair. Lucy Lu can tell you about the time i cut her Barbie’s hair…promising up and down how it would grow back so she would let me do it. She can also tell you about the first bangs she ever got in her life…compliments of moi. The ended up looking like [...]

It’s Friday! You ain’t got not job. You ain’t got shit to do.
By Jane on October 28, 2011
I’m so behind on blogging. Benz is now 5 months and I’ve still got stuff to write about that happened a month ago. Pregnancy and having children contribute greatly to my rapidly disappearing brain cells, whereby the count is drastically depleted with each additional child. That and, of course, aging. Pregnancy amnesia doesn’t go away [...]

I see one of my ads at a rest area, of all places.
By Jane on August 14, 2010
On our four-hour drive home from Gotham City, it was almost midnight and time for a potty break. We stop at the next rest area. It’s one we’ve been to many times. We do our thang and then Thelma wants to look around. She goes ahead of me into the next room that has all [...]

Immortal Technique…Dance with the Devil.
By Jane on February 18, 2010
This is one of my favorite underground rappers. I found him by accident many years ago and I just LOVE his stuff. He’s deep, provacative and one of the best rappers I have EVER heard. His beats are amazing perfect for his lyrics and his lyrics are thought-provoking, deep and graphic. Check out this song [...]

Bed Time! (For Late Nighters).
By Jane on September 21, 2010
Getting to bed always takes a good thirty minutes if not an hour for the girls to get to bed. I’m sure I’m not alone in this. We are late nighters, which is also another reason why we homeschool. Now that school has started, the girls go to bed “early”…around 10pm. And yes, sometimes, it [...]

We’re off to the pool to go winter swimming.
By Jane on January 5, 2010
It’s winter in LA and the weather fluctuates constantly. Even if it’s in the mid-60s or 70s, if you’re in the shade, it’s still kinda chilly. No, I’m not complaining…just sayin’. Today was a warm day, high 60s, and the kids are dying to go swimming. The pool is heated so I let them but this [...]

Jane Rant: I hate pumping gas.
By Jane on March 4, 2011
I really hate having to stop and get gas. It’s just one of those annoying repetitive tasks! Like doing laundry! I hate standing there, doing nothing, sometimes in the cold, sometimes in the hot (cause you can’t have the car on), and waiting for my gas tank to fill. So mundane. Boring. If I were [...]

So while I was hanging with my girl having coffee, her “man friend” calls. “Man friend” was asking her what she was doing. Confuscia says…(matter-of-factly) “We hangin’ out here at the Starbucks lookin’ like a million bucks.” LOL. -Jane, Friend to Confuscia.

Bush wacking and cleaning up my dump of a backyard.
By Jane on February 25, 2011
Winter and the yard work gets neglected, especially since I got pregnant in the fall, there’s so much that I should have done prior to winter but simply didn’t have the time or energy. Since we’re somewhat cleaned up the front, and my backyard is looking like one big dump…time to get to work again! [...]

A blue pacifier lollipop may not be manly but definitely signs of a great dad.
By Jane on December 20, 2009
Mark Anthony is a super duper guy, husband, father and brother-in-law. I liked him immediately when I met him. He’s also quite funny and silly. Here Mark is enjoying one of those pacifier lollipops…a blue one.

We attend our first mock swim meet.
By Jane on July 5, 2010
Our swim team had their first mock swim meet. Since we’ve never been on a swim team before, this was interesting to see and experience.I was amazed at how much work has to be done for a swim meet.

FINALLY! The finished painted techno-colored girls room!
By Jane on March 11, 2010
My project of painting the girls room is complete! (Well, I’m still waiting on Fanny Mae to get me the pillows.) I know it’s drawn out to a few days but that’s just how these things go. Decorating or redecorating, takes time. THELMA & LOUISE’S ROOM The girls share a queen platform bed that I [...]
