It never fails, whenever we are at Wal-Mart, the girls want to ride the Merry-Go-Round. This little thing that goes around and around and around… It seems to be never ending…and brings them so much joy. Not to mention, the vending machines are ALWAYS calling their name. Here’s a video below of all the excitement and fun.

I was first introduced to Bonsai’s from watching Mr. Miagi pruning them on the Karate Kid. When I actually saw them in person, I just LOVED them. I have a love for trees and tree shapes as it is but a miniature version is just GORGEOUS!! It so happened that the annual Bonsai show was going [...]

Sorry for the sparse blogs. I’m not quite sure but I think having a third child is taking up all my time. Blogging seems to have taken a back seat to enjoying time with my new son, kids, husband and and taking care of our daily meals, clean-up, homeschooling, businesses, and Starbucks. With everything going [...]

No, I’m trying to insult a slightly overweight female (not that there’s anything wrong with that-being overweight that is). I’m talking about my son! Benz was a baby chicken this year, a costume that Louise wore when she was two. FLASHBACK TO HALLOWEEN 2004 Look at my sweet Louise, who is only 2.5 here. And my beautiful Thelma, [...]

Venturing out to the grocery store in the snow.
By Jane on January 6, 2011
We needed a few things from the grocery store, anticipating that we might get snowed in. With the way the snow was coming down, it was a possibility. Dick wanted to take the Caddie. He loves that car. Louise volunteers to dust off the snow on the car. The drive out of our neighborhood. Of [...]

Phu Quoc at Night: Are you an adventurous Seafood Lover?
By Jane on March 1, 2011
In Vietnam, there’s always plenty to do at night. Vietnamese locals are always working and many of the businesses (especially places to eat) are open until the wee hours. Nighttime is when all the fishermen come out. \ This must be what they’re fishing for…late night eats in town. In Phu Quoc, they have a [...]

The thing about the holidays is that there’s a bazillion more people out than usual and when in line, you’re surrounded by people. Everywhere you go there is a line that you need to wait in. I’m in line and this guy behind me is freaking breathing down my neck and standing WAY TOO CLOSE [...]

Lucy shows me, repeatedly, how “smart” Oscar is.
By Jane on August 16, 2011
Naturally, while Lucy was in town, we went to have us some coffee at the Starbucks. The kids had asked to see if they could come and, after having taken them the day before, I said, “No! No kids today!” Plus, its three times more expensive when I take them and I have to reserve [...]

EDAMAME: A super EASY, YUMMY and HEALTHY SNACK.
By Jane on September 3, 2010
Edamame is one of the oldest recorded snacks around, dating back to over 2000 years ago. Popular in Japan and picked before they are ripe, it is a fantastically EASY, YUMMY and HEALTHY snack. You can even find bags of whole pod edamame in the frozen vegetable section at WAL-MART so no excuses if you [...]

Homemade chicken noodle soup to stay warm in this cold weather.
By Jane on January 16, 2010
My kids love chicken noodle soup, especially when it’s cold. You don’t need a ton of ingredients and can easily throw it together. This time, I just used what I had. Since I had some chicken thighs in the fridge, I used that to make the broth. It’s fattier, but unfortunately, that’s the fat that makes it tasty.

The next day after the girls best friend, Kristen Stuart, leaves, Thelma wakes me up early in the morning again (this time not AS early…around 7:00 am) complaining that her stomach is still hurting again. Whhhhaaaaatttt? I thought we were done with all that! (Sorry no pics today, it was hectic enough without having to [...]

Jane: Seamstress. FAUX fur is FABULOUS.
By Jane on March 22, 2010
As you know, Thelma is big on ice skating. She has another small, local competition coming up. Only this time, Louise has decided to join in on the fun. Since they’re doing this “competition”, I have to find them some ice skating dresses to wear. I bought this simple dress online. Then I purchased a [...]

Recently, we’ve been having some amazing weather for February in Metropolis. Sunny, mid 60s and beautiful. So, we moved the classroom outside, cause you can do that when you homeschool. The girls just spread out a blanket and bring their assignments outside. I’m also there in the event there are questions. And, I’m getting the [...]

Louise not feeling well. A LAZY DAY is just the cure.
By Jane on April 8, 2010
Louise was not feeling well at all the other day, can you tell? Girlfriend had a cough and stomach ache. Since it was a co-op day, Thelma went to class while Louise just rested at home. Most of the day Louise spent in bed. However, it was such a beautiful day, too beautiful to let go to [...]

Jane and Dick Censored! Blocked in the UAE.
By Jane on December 21, 2010
I posted a video on You Tube last March when I had done a mini-makeover for the girls’ room. I had painted some flowers and butterflies, which took me ALL night and probably around 10-12 hours but I put the video in fast mode and shrank it down to a few minutes. Here’s the video [...]

Dick is in love…with an Antique 1968 Mercedes 250s.
By Jane on December 1, 2010
Dick spots the car of his dreams while we were driving around. It was a beautiful antique 1968 Mercedes 250S. This car is in MINT condition and has only 36,000 miles on it. Unbelieveable! Look at the old school knob to adjust the seat. I’m not sure what the leather looks like underneath the fuzzy blue [...]

Said the police officer: You have alot of naked art in your house!
By Jane on November 9, 2009
Most people I know aren’t comfortable with NUDITY. At least not publicly. So, if you’re not comfortable with nudity, go no further than this sentence. The same disclaimer that I put when I posted the song “My Dick”, this also applies. If you’re easily offended, if you’re around someone easily offended..etc…THEN DON’T GO ANY FURTHER IN [...]
