The other day, Thelma had found a black rag that was once part of Dick’s shirt. It had just been washed. She decided she wanted to wear it.
She looks just adorable!! In Muslim cultures, older girls and women are REQUIRED to wear head dresses to cover their head and hair. I think it’s awesome she wants to wear it just to wear it.
We had to go run some errands that day and Thelma just wanted to keep it on. I figure even though we’re not Muslim, if she’s comfortable wearing it, why should I care? It’s a bold fashion statement that’s for sure! I was so proud of her for voluntarily wearing it out and about during our day. This Jane was definitely not this confident at 8.
Louise was making a different statement with her head dress. A hat.
It is HOT today and I am not going to wear BLACK on my head.
I guess girlfriend think she’s going to the Kentucky Derby.
