This is related to the story of how we had to pick up Dick from the airport and how he missed his flight due to additional “random” security checks? Click HERE if you haven’t read it yet. Anyway, Dick was pulled aside by TSA airport security and was surprised because he had actually shaved his beard this time. Thelma and Louise were in the back seat listening as he was telling us the story. But then a few days later, I hear Louise tell one of her friends about it.
“My daddy got pulled over by the police for shaving in the car!”
Funny, that’s not how I remember it going down. I love how kids misunderstand things and then tell their friends all about it. Then we have these strange rumors going around about us, spread by our own children nonetheless! It reminds me of the “telephone” game where the first person is told a story and each person then whispers the story to the next person all the way until the end. The story ends up being some hilarious story that sounds NOTHING like the original.
